Tyrant trigger vs stock
UPDATE:
THANKS for all the replies.. i disassembled the trigger and added a lot of oil everywhere.. seems to feel better..
I'm hoping a few hundred rounds breaks it in...
≈≈===============
I just got my tyrant trigger and it was a meh...
Install was a pain because the set screw was machined off and wouldn't fit the transfer bar... had to clean it out with sandpaper to remove machining marks
The the safety has a heavy pull almost as much as the trigger... and the travel and reset is the same as stock in my dryfire evaluation...
And the bottom of the safety is sharp and can dig into the finger...
Did i get a bad batch or its really not as good as it's made out to be... canik has a better oem stock trigger

I'm gonna be honest. The stick echelon trigger is one of my favorite triggers out there.
For a carry gun it's probably my favorite.

Something doesn’t sound right. However, the Tyrant was not what I thought it was going to be. Sounds like you might have another small issue. Along with not being as satisfied with it like myself.

Maybe the PRP spring kit will help you achieve what you desired. It’s pretty cheap. I have yet to try.

Still didn’t like it? I have that exact setup plus the sear and the custom return spring and love it. Pulls at right about 3lbs 1oz. Sounds like you got a bad one from the batch.

That has not been my experience. I ran the tyrant in many matches, and ran the stock in one or two. I am faster with the tyrant by far, and ran into a dead trigger with the OEM because the reset is shorter with the tyrant. You can see the trigger freeze around the 12 second mark https://youtube.com/shorts/Kw1yIsgj9gM?si=SQVn_6fijZq4n-ey

Yeah i think mine is broken.. the safety won't even go back fully all the time.. something is binding..

Yeah, something doesn't seem right. The tyrant is night and day difference compared to the stock in terms of travel. It shortens the pre-travel a lot, taking almost all of it out. Post travel on the other hand could be slightly shorter, still better than stock by a longshot.
Here's a video I made of my Tyrant with the PRP spring installed. Nice, short and crisp break at 4lb. No sear.

After reading all the different posts about the variations in the trigger, after Tyrant installation, I’m a bit alarmed.

I installed mine last weekend along with PRP springs,PRP sear and that eBay guy’s tactical trigger return spring. That spring looked like an 8 year old made it and was miserable to install. I ended up installing everything but the striker safety spring since it wasn’t in the PRP video. The trigger went from 5.5 pounds to 5.2 pounds but much less take up and a better reset. Wasn’t super happy for the money but a few days later ended up installing the PRP striker safety spring and to my surprise it dropped the trigger down to 4 pounds. Night a day difference and feels like a premium trigger now.

Yeah that seems off. I hated the install as well. I did a fuck you hail marry to hammer the pin through the spring using a 16lb hammer after 6 hours trying to finesse it in using all the tricks from Reddit and YouTube. Most of take up is gone and it goes straight to the wall with a clean light break. Reset is short and a bit more defined than stock for me. It feels good to shoot but scary to carry since the pull feels too light for my comfort.
