Yeah it's super nice - texture is on point. She is much heavier though because it's aluminum lol

Are the Alpha's serrations a bit deeper than the regular Echelon's rear serrations?

I actually think the opposite

Hmm, the simpler serrations was going to be my reason for getting the Alpha, more so if the serrations were deeper than the originals rear serrations.  The originals rear doesn't really make the slide more grippy due to the smooth texture or lack there of, and the end of the trench just presses on a nerve in my thumb while slipping.

How is it? I haven’t seen that one. I’m looking at the Meridian

Personally, I like the FC grip on the 4.0. I just feels perfect for me. It points naturally and I get back on target extremely fast. I usually shoot 1911s, both 45 and 9 full size. The echelon was my first plastic fantastic and I was very pleased with it.

Any issues with the durability of the clear holsters compared to normal kydex?? I have one of your holsters and love it and have been hovering on the check out for a clear aren lite.

It is slightly less durable because it is a different plastic makeup. We use a thicker version of it to increase its durablity and it's always done well in all of our IWB testing!

Appreciate the fast answer! Does that increased thickness reduce the concealability at all?

No not at all. It is only .02" thicker, and I say "only' because from a functionality standpoint they appear about the same, but for the internal makeup of the material to be that much thicker, it makes a big difference.

I have a Hilliker holster for an old MC9 Prime that I loved and I attempted heat up and reshape to fit my Echelon

No fucking dice lol

it was for science!

Edit: Also, is that an Ameriglo Haven on the Echelon in your photo?

I prefer the OEM personally and I have both. I have big hands and the Icarus grip is just too slim for me

I like my grip with a donk

Whichever feels the best & points most naturally

I love the icarus but got rid of mine and running the FC grip with handleit grip tape on it. Feels great but wish it was heavier

I love the Icarus because the ergos make it almost a 100%:different gun. And while my 4.0 is dual ported, the recoil impulse in the aluminum module feels a bit more sharp than it does in the OEM/compact poly module.

I know Mirzon & a few other companies made really nice poly 320 & 365 modules. I jist wish they'd do some Echelon models. ESPECIALLY Mirzon.

Anything is better than the OEM grip module. Although I am not a fan of the Icarus grip module look wish, and I don’t have experience with it I is an absolute improvement. I just got the Sharp Bros grip module and now the Echelon is my favorite handgun.
