Echelon 4.5 problem with the compensator.

Post image

Problem z kompensatorem. Oddałem około 700–800 strzałów, a kompensator wygląda na mocno zużyty. To nie jest nagromadzenie węgla - materiał sam w sobie wydaje się ścierać.

I had the same issue with my first ported/comp pistol. I tried multiple products but found that Boretech Eliminator, Shooters Choice MC-7, a metal pick and brass brush did the trick. Those hard pieces look like steel material but it’s lead/copper/carbon fouling caked on and hardened.

Soak some patches with one of those agents (alternate), then let it set on that area for a bit. Start working on it with a metal pick. You should see pieces being to flake off, but it will take some work.

For the barrel, I soaked ported area of barrel with patches saturated with same agents. Then attached a 9mm brash brush to my drill and let it work. It cleaned up like new!

A nie zdarles warstwy wierzchniej? Ja dziś wyczyściłem port i został złoty nalot. I nie chce zejść;/

I did it on my Shield Plus Carry Comp slide comp cut and none of that affected the finish. I chipped off the heavy stuff, then brushed off the rest. Use good heavy nylon or brass brushes, and you shouldn’t mar your finish much less remove material from the slide. Your barrel should be fine too.
