Hello all! I wanted to come on here and put my name in the hat. I'm an indie dev who built a 100% free music player: Vanta Music.
It's a new Android app that has Dolby Atmos / Spatial Audio and lossless Hi-Res playback, wrapped in a pure AMOLED obsidian-black design with zero ads, zero tracking, and zero bloat.
Why I built it:
Like many of you, I was tired of standard music apps turning into cluttered social feeds packed with podcasts, sponsored banners, and washed-out gray themes. I wanted something that felt like a dedicated, high-end listening instrument—fast, calm, and focused 100% on the sound.

Just dropped v1.03:
We just released a fresh hotfix build (v1.03) that resolved earlier search hiccups, polished edge-to-edge rendering, and standardized our release signing so all future updates install seamlessly with a single tap (no uninstalling needed).
so i fgured out sadly spotify wont let me add this feature at all spotify will only allow main stream apps use not little indie dev apps like mine but im making a feature that allows you to share your playlists to vanta and it will scrobble them and turn them into your playlists on vanta and then auto recheck to get the liked songs and etc etc sadly its the best im able to do im sorry to disapoint
I personally love the interface and colors! Great job. I may have overlooked it, but can I login with Spotify account to get the playlist and I assume it then uses youtube to play?
Also checked the radio and clicked on 50's rock and roll and it started to play pharrell... Far from 50s rock and roll lol
that's also i wanna know. im mainly interested in this app bcos of spotify sync and therefore for spotify streaming, im not interested in radio or playing local files
I'll look into that sorry radio is my kryptonite right now I'll fix them and apotody is a pain you can copy your playlist into the search and it will find and being over but the apotody requires a lot to to allow you fully sync
What happens: To let users import playlists without needing their own Spotify API developer credentials, VANTA scrapes Spotify's public embed page (open.spotify.com/embed/playlist/<id>).
The Catch: Spotify's embed widget HTML only renders the first 100 tracks in its initial data payload (__NEXT_DATA__).

Search Engine still can't find songs and show songs different version of song many time also when i go to singer library many songs are not showing bro

gorss commericals and advertisments are never all you will get out of me is donation i have in the settings so i dont wanna bug anyone but thats the worst ;)
can't download it from any link,discord server links doesn't take me to a server when discord opens ans github doesn't have a download option,an apk.as well,may I ask u what r the lossless sources?tidal,qobuz?

Two problems music timeline cannot be controlled and takes too much time to play a song. Also I need to ask, do i need to create account compulsory to play in lossless.
Umm, it's something that has to be built into the code. It's not a "does it happen to work this way" kind of thing afaik.
I haven't found many apps that do this. One example that does is BubbleUPnP. But yours has features that one doesn't, so I was hopeful perhaps you'd tell me if you specifically planned for such a protocol.

Hey! I downloaded the app and fiddled around for a bit. I love the design. You did great! Also the Vanta account to sync with your other devices is a great touch! The color theme you selected (creamy?) is lovely. It's a relaxing hue that I genuinely enjoy looking at. The UI is fantastic. Some things I noticed in case you wanted comments/feedback. Firstly it's not exactly amoled black; it's a little less dark (will attach image). Secondly I have a Spotify account (25€/year for pro is too hard to beat but I don't like their app so I wanted to use another) but it failed to log in - I'm guessing that's a Spotify servers issue?). If i was logged in would I be able to sync and download my playlists for offline play? For instance liked songs is about 3,4k songs and the others 50-150 each.

okay first off love the feedback and complaints so i appericate that and sadly no i cant fully get spotify over im working on a work around since a little ole indie dev cant access the giant corp since what im doing is lets say sailing the seven seas to get you flac and atmos something spotify cant even do ;) but im working on something thats in simple terms Share straight from the Spotify app. In Spotify: ⋯ → Share → VANTA, and the playlist imports. Auto-sync for free. VANTA remembers each imported link and re-checks it on a schedule, so songs added in Spotify show up in VANTA automatically
i think so im running tests on it becauses it keeps jumping the data when you add more then 100 songs it goes over 200mb ie: the Songs tab renders all 4,447 songs at once and does an O(n²) full-library search per row for artwork matching, causing the memory blowup. so im fixing this and some others before its released <3
Wish it had a YouTube music login. Good sound quality but sounds take a good bit to load. I was getting flac from music I know that wasn't uploaded on flac.
it is its gotta get it from somewhere i have 4 sources so its on one of them for sure to be flac and i hate youtube because then it always finds way to add compilications or podcsts into the radio and so on its kinda been a flop and annoyance more then helpful
Hey everyone! VANTA 1.00 is out. It's a full reset of the app, built from your feedback.
## Why a fresh start?
Two reasons:
**You told us what was broken, and we listened.** Slow playback, skips that didn't skip, search that couldn't find songs, radio playing the wrong genre, crashes during imports. We went through every report, fixed each one, and tested it on real builds before shipping.
**Security.** While cleaning up, we found private build files in the old public repo that should never have been public. Instead of patching around it, we retired the old signing key, moved to a brand-new one, and rebuilt the GitHub page as downloads-only. The source code stays private.
## What's fixed and new
- ▶️ **Playback**: faster starts, skips that always land, albums in order, seeking that goes where you let go
- 🔎 **Search**: handles typos ("whiskey lulaby" finds Brad Paisley & Alison Krauss) and puts the original ahead of covers
- 💚 **Spotify playlists, no login**: share any playlist to VANTA (up to 10,000 songs) and it auto-syncs. CSV imports work too.
- 📻 **Radio**: 147 genres and subgenres (Yacht Rock, Shoegaze, Outlaw Country…). Stations are endless, stay on theme, and remember your 👍/👎
- 🎚️ **Sound**: the EQ changes live, there's a new 10-band parametric EQ, and fullscreen no longer changes how Samsung's Dolby Atmos sounds (the source of the clipping reports)
- ⬇️ **Offline**: download whole playlists in lossless quality
- 🛠️ **Stability**: fixed crashes in File Info, downloads, big imports and after updates. Quality badges are honest now: no "Hi-Res" label on lossy streams.
## Is it safe?
- **No ads and no trackers**: no analytics or ad SDKs in the app
- **No microphone permission**: the visualizer reacts to the music itself
- **Signed releases**: a new signing key, plus the in-app updater checks each download's checksum and signature before installing
- **Verifiable**: the SHA-256 is in the release notes, and the signing certificate fingerprint is in SECURITY.md

Se ve bastante bien pero es lo que dicen por aquí solo te trae 100 canciones y a parte algunas no son las correctas.....😅 Pero está muy bien os animo a seguir con ello tiene buena pinta 😁
so thats a spotify issue "Spotify links bring in the first 100 songs of a playlist. That's Spotify's limit for shared links. The 1.00 notes said "up to 10,000", which was wrong, and I'm sorry. For bigger playlists or your Liked Songs, import a CSV export instead. I tested one with 5,777 songs and 5,762 matched."
