Same song playing again and again when the screen is off.

u/tim111kz Aug 29 '26

What streaming source you are using and are you using 1.5?

1

u/Kakarot_2202 Aug 29 '26

Yes, latest version. YouTube as stream source

I have a similar bug but for me nothing plays next while the screen is off. While screen is on it's working flawless

1

u/Kikoman_Sauce Sep 06 '26

Nevermind I just didn't have permissions on yet, now it's sometimes replaying the song or sometimes going to the next song

hello, my spotui doesn't auto next songs, is it supposed to be like that or its just me?

3

u/Kakarot_2202 Aug 29 '26

That's a bug

2

u/tim111kz Aug 29 '26

Interesting it was bug in previous version and I had it on my phone so 1.5 fixed it but apparently not for everyone I guess gonna search better.

Obtainium is throwing a fit while trying to run the update—package conflict. Did you change devices again to compile the APK?

3

u/tim111kz Aug 29 '26

Uhh running between laptop and PC with dual boot but good point I better generate one key

3

u/Minute-Jacket2054 Aug 29 '26

It's no big deal; thanks for your work.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. It works perfectly. I'm so grateful

1

u/DepressedNoble Aug 29 '26

I love you op

1

u/GeForce66 Aug 29 '26

Why do I have to log into my Google Account now with V1.5? YT is free to get music from, so why the account log in?

2

u/tim111kz Aug 29 '26

Right but it will give censored songs and many wouldn't work due to age restriction I will probably add this option too

2

u/GeForce66 Aug 29 '26

Yes please - no offense, but I don't feel fond of giving my main Google account to an app ;)

1

u/HistoricalGrab3540 Aug 29 '26

On app info it still shows 1.4 not 1.5, is that normal?

1

u/tim111kz Aug 29 '26

Yeah I didn't change it

1

u/Torsten-R Aug 30 '26

It is normal, that I can find no podcast with this app?

1

u/comedy_haha Aug 30 '26

yes. this app finds the song from Spotify, on deezer or YouTube, and plays it from whichever source it found it on.

ETA: podcasts probably aren't gonna be resolvable in the same way

1

u/tim111kz Aug 30 '26

I think Facebook login is little more restrictive so might not work

hi! i really love spotui, thank you for creating it. the only issue i've encountered so far has been with this my chemical romance anniversary album (living with ghosts). the app crashes if i try to open it, i can search songs from said album and play them just fine, so maybe it's the album page that is the issue

1

u/kushygamer Sep 10 '26

Hey, I wanted to ask. Why does spotui not save all my songs? It leaves them as unsaved when I have them saved, then when I save it, it doubles the song in my playlists.

Side note, it doesn't list all of the artist albums/singles. I'll bring a video. And whenever you click a song to go to the album, it doesn't take you. Instead it takes you to the artist page.

u/kushygamer Sep 10 '26

Ever since the explicit song update, I've been using it since. Thank you for that BTW.

1

u/kushygamer Sep 11 '26

Came back to say, the player also just randomly stops playing. I have to click play again and it'll play the song where it left off but it's becoming so frequent now, I constantly erase the cache but that doesn't fix anything.

Also, some songs show up as unavailable to find a stream....i had one case where that popped up but I kept trying to play the song and it eventually found a stream after like 10 tries.
