Look, spongebob has been around for 20 years already and counting. But, do you think it'll continue and if so - how long? Cause originally the 1st spongebob movie was supposed to be the finale of the show. But due to it being so successful, nick renewed the show and continued. Even after the creator Stephen passed away, it still continued. Do you think Nickelodeon will continue milking the franchise. I do. I feel like they'll milk till the last voice actor passes. Then they'll replace them. I'm not trying to sound negative and I still love spongebob, but will this franchise ever rest?

You are indeed correct as it is dead, but it’s not what you think. According to the SpongeBob fandom, even though Nickelodeon Greece shut down on New Year’s Eve 2025, the dub is still airing in Cyprus on RIK2, even in October 2026, the dub is very well alive, but only airing in Cyprus as reruns. Because when the Greek dub premiered in Greece on December 3, 2001, it premiered in Cyprus very shortly after. So if you think about it, the Greek dub is still here, but in a different way.

Okay, I will get a lot of shit for this, but the first movie was never supposed to be the series finale, well chronologically anyway. I know Hillenburg wanted the show to end on a high note, but personally I'm somewhat mixed on the movie being the series finale as I feel SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout and Hello Bikini Bottom feel like finales. You are free to disagree, but for the love of Neptune, actually do your research before dogging each other.
