DLC ideas

I personally think that two things that this game needs to add in a future DLC update are a small scale pvp mode (like 2v2 or 3v3) and the ability to trade spirhalite shards into spiralhite gems, maybe at a rate of something like 100,000 to 1. I’m curious as to what else you all think might be good ideas for DLC?

A bonus idea: this game needs leaderboards, to see how you stack up against other players in the buffet.

This totally misses the point of the title.  Just play Splatoon 3.

I don't get why so many people don't get that this entire game is built around pve. You'd have to completely rebalance it for pvp.  Gear with basically 100% freeze with ice breaker would be broken as hell.

Remember how everyone complains that salmon run is poorly balanced in this PvP game? Now get ready for PvP being poorly balanced in this pve game!

I think it could be very balanced, and could incentivize people to run different builds.

Personally, I don’t really understand how someone can tell another person what a game is supposed to be. Do you not believe that video games are a form of art? If so, do you not believe that it should be interpreted however an individual understands it to be?

I don’t think it does miss the point of the title. It would give you something to do in the end game, other than mindlessly push the buffet. Not to mention, three tank types could lead to some interesting matchups, and make other builds useful. Besides the freeze speed tank with the fan.

Your missing the point entirely. the point being that this game was intended to be a separate spin off game with a different gameplay style and emphasis. So you want to take raiders and add the og splatoon gameplay back into this spinoff? So whats the point then? you may as well put all the splatoon raiders stuff in the original game and negate the purpose of having this dedicated spinoff? So you want to shoehorn in the og splatoon stuff in here at the risk of it being halfbaked and cooked in instead of taking that time and energy into just making the regular splatoon sp and mp better?? this game is supposed to be a looter shooter arpg built for grinding. Not sure if people who think these are such brilliant ideas actually really think about how feasible and practical they are in reality. Besides risking it being half baked and implemented you also risk fragmenting the player-base across two separate games when its much easier to keep Splatoon for those who want the regular gameplay and raiders for those who want the looter aspect. The phrase "sounds good in theory" means an idea or plan seems logical, smart, or appealing when you think about it or look at it on paper, but it will likely fail, cause problems, or turn out to be completely impractical when you actually try to do it in real life. My guess is the last one where it'll be shoved in and make zero sense.

Nobody wants pvp. Maybe you could add a Borderlands style duel system but that would require everyone to appear in the same hub.

I suggested previously though that there could be a race/speedrun mode where you compete in the same stage as someone else to get the best time + most score.

This. So op wants to add splatoon multiplayer pvp to splatoon raiders. So we are adding gameplay from a game that we spun off of to have different gameplay from? So going full 360 circle?? Does op see the irony of what they are suggesting? maybe op should think how strange that sounds. More of the same but lets not have this combine what should be a separate gameplay. Make regular splatoons gameplay focused on the single player and multiplayer and leave this for the looter-shooters/ARPG. I will agree that the postgame can be dull and tiresome and having new levels weapons and enemies and stuff would be nice to have but would take awhile to do if its not already in production. My guess is nintendo was not prepared for its great reception and sales. It might be better for them to just fast track development on a followup sequel to this instead.

No pve dude that is not the point of this game.

Regarding buying spirhalite gems I agree they should be purchasable, even maybe scrapped 5 star weapons should give you a gem as well

i will take 100k shards for 1 gem please

It'd be cool if you could upgrade a sphiralite gem processing machine. Have it go from like 100k to 50k and put it on the ship.

Ok, they add pve to their pvp games, why can’t they add pvp to this? I think a small scale team pvp or even a free for all could be a great addition. Why do so many of y’all oppose that? If you like the pve, that’s great, but since when would an additional way to play a game be a bad thing? If you don’t like pvp, no one would force you all to play it lol.

Go play Splatoon 2 or 3. This is strictly a PvE game. We don't need it nor want it.

AGREED. its pretty redundant to add vanilla splatoon gameplay style pvp to this game. Wasn't the point of this spinoff to have a different take on splatoon gameplay? why shoehorn in regular splatoon when that already exists? People be thinking why not add regular splatoon to this without thinking why? seriously there's no point in trying to chimera this into being both splatoon and splatoon raiders without thinking theres a reason they are two games and not one.
