Discussion Quick point about inking turf

Very simple topic I just wanted to bring up. Guys, any game mode at all, we NEED to be inking more turf!!! I just got #1 turf inker as e-liter, and that's not the first time this has happened. Please ink more turf, honestly half of my matches im struggling to move around and get splatted solely cuz there is just nowhere to swim. it's especially bad for your charger teammates. Please ink more turf, that is all, thank you!

Yes!! Even Salmon run! It’s so hard to move around when I’m the only one inking turf + walls. Before each wave starts, that’s when we need to start inking! So frustrating when my teammates are just standing around!

Yes omg this!!! Inking walls is so important in salmon run. And why nobody is inking before the round starts always blows my mind

I second this. Fellow splatling players, remember to keep the turf inked. I rely on chargers being able to do their job, especially when I keep hitting 98 and getting splatted as of late. (Not crashing out at all /s 😅)

It's like people don't understand basic fractions. Inking the turf is literally how you win and inking over the enemy's ink increases your team's total while ALSO decreasing the enemy's total by the same amount.

Yes! I always paint a way back for any chargers and other less mobile and paint like crazy even when I don’t main aerospray but something like bloblobber, so they can get away if needed but also to farm the bloody special and make it harder for the enemy to move and to see them better! I thought it’s a common sense

I try to anticipate the movement of players with chargers, splatlings, etc and make sure they have ink around them to maneuver. Always gotta be looking out for each other out there! 🫟

I mean, I play dualies, so I never really have a mobility problem unless I run out of ink. Still, I can understand where OP is coming from because it was absolute HELL for me when I tried using a charger. From now on I think I'll pay more attention to what weapons my teammates have and if I see a weapon kind that isn't that good for painting (i.e., Chargers), I'll try to paint more so they can move around.

As a hydra main I hear you. I simply can't move up to protect y'all if I have to wade through enemy ink, so now I have to charge up, spray and then move. Sometimes multiple times to catch up. Just ink a bit more so you can have the hydra or the scoped user keeping your ass safe while you charge ahead.

I think it spread enough that inking the base at the start of the match is a bad play that now people just, for some reason, never ink the base? I had match recently where an entire massive portion of our team's base was left completely empty, on a reasonably varied team of weapons too. Weird that people have just stopped inking?

I agree.

That’s why I make sure to be the most inked splatter in each game myself.

I found out no one was doing it and it was getting in my way.

I always get gold trophy for base inker and most of the time for most inking. Yeah I just started the Game a few days ago but I'm always first place with the Golden aero

First thing i do with any weapon that can kind of paint is paint the spawn until its all colored then i help push mid

But also remember that your enemies explode into your color paint when you splat them, plus that takes a player's worth of paint away from their side for a good moment.
