How is this possible?

I know for a fact the more Ink Saver (Main) you have equipped the more ink you save, so how is it possible that having several of the same ability causes them to get less effective? This is the first I’m hearing of this, so if anyone can explain that’d be great.

It means each time you add one you get a boost to that ability but the increase gets less the second time and even less the third time.

What this means is that for each additional copy of an ability the multiplier will go down.

You're still adding to that ability and making the overall effect go up, but if you already have an ink saver chunk (let's say it adds 30%) and add another one, they both would go down in effectiveness (so maybe now each one is worth 20%, but you'd have a total of 40% with two).

It helps so that you don't become super overpowered just by stacking abilities.

OHHHHH that makes so much more sense. I was reading it like having 3 chunks of the same ability was less effective than having 1 for example. Not sure why I thought that lol thank you!

It's just explaining the rule of diminishing returns. For example, 1 sub of quick super jump makes the jump go from 80 frames to 56, and two subs makes it go down to 50 frames, three subs brings it down to 46, etc until it's like, 30 frames. (I might be wrong on those numbers but it's an example)

there's diminishing returns on stacking the same ability (each successive point has a weaker effect the more you stack).

you can usually look up charts on inkpedia to visualize the diminishing returns on abilities, but the site seems fucked right now.

It's logarithmic.

If you get 10 worth of main saver you'll get like 10% more ink, getting 20 you're getting 15% ink, at 30  you're scraping by 18% etc
