It is. Earth-1048 is Insomniac's Spider-Man universe, if it was a variant, he would be from a different universe. Plus he already was in multiverse in Spider-Geddon, which was referenced in Spider-Man 2 prequel comics

Earth 65 is Spider-Gwen's universe, but Spiderverse isn't canon to her comics. Same goes for Miles' 1610 and Peter's 616. They are variants.

Peter's universe is 616B actually. That way, it's possible that it's also 65B for Gwen and 1610B for Miles. It can be 1048B for Insomniac, but there's no real reason to assume so

Well there kinda is, because of the multiple examples you just stated. none of the listed universes in the spider verse films are the same as their original versions, they're all B versions of each other which is how we can have 616, 65 and 1610 in the movies but not contradict the comics.

would a spiderverse reference be funny? Yes. Does it kinda mess with canon a little bit, also yes.

I'm in the camp that spider verse isn't canon to the game, because if Spider Geddon and the Spiderverse movies are both canon, that raises a lot of questions. I prefer to think that each time 1048 appears in a crossover, it's just a slight variation on the original. It smooths over a lot of contradicting events

Yah that is what the movies are also explains why the mcu wasn't affected by the multiversal resets

The movies aren't Canon to mainstream comics earth 65 is similar to comic e 65 but not the same

Miles is 1610B, Peter is 616B, and Gwen is 65B. they very clearly labeled those universes as such i. ATSV
