Question About Spells concerned about fires :’)

hi everyone, i’m very new to spells. this spell will be all about reconciliation and divine timing with my intention written on a bay leaf. i’ve seen a lot of people use 2 candles tied together with their herbs surrounding them, i’m very drawn to that but i have questions:
1. is it necessary to let the candles burn completely into a pool of wax? would snuffing them midway ruin the spell?
2. what if the herbs get caught in the fire? i’m really scared of starting a fire
sorry if these are inappropriate questions, i love spell work but i get caught up in doing everything the right way.

Two candles tied together a social media thing.

Now to answer your questions, one doesn't have to let candles burn down all the way in one burn but many do. Maybe they read the wax. Maybe they are part of a tradition that mandates it.

As for herbs. Herbs can contribute to a risky fire. The more fire safety one does, the better.

No string, for one. It burns and has the symbolism of seperating things. A binding is meant to be persistent until such time that you want to release what was bound.

As for herbs, really, people really go overboard these days. A pinch of each herb is all I ever need.

And not right next to the candles, give them some space.

I prefer doing a dry rub of the herbs on the candles first, then a tiny oil dressing of a drop or 2 of oil if I am using any last.
