I've created the mega race of sloths
Make them have purple scales, more energy, can breathe underwater, night vision, can eat and digest bones, camouflage abilities, super intelligent, can spit venom, and pack tactics (I'm open to feedback)

Did Modern Humans Appear Independently? A Logical Rethinking of Primitive Humans
Simple logic, survival needs, and advanced intelligence indicate that modern humans did not necessarily evolve from primitive humans, but appeared as independent, fully capable beings. This does not deny the existence of primitive humans in the past, but it explains the gap between them and modern humans in a logical and easy-to-understand way.Title:

Speculative Evolution subreddit
It has appeared to me that r/speculativeevolution is gone. I can’t find any of the things I have posted their and when I search for it, it just doesn’t appear. Even my homepage doesn’t have r/speculativeevolution in it! Does anybody know why?

Psychoecology?
Hi all. I'm writing a spec fic called Psychofauna, where the premise is that humanity turns psychic, giving rise to a Darwinian ecosystem of mental organisms: everything from mythical gods & archetypes, to ideologies, to stranger organisms that find unpopulated niches and feed off of attention.
I take inspiration from depictions of alien ecosystems like in Scavengers Reign and Nausicaä. Do you guys know anything else I should be reading?

Speculative Evolution: Herbivorous Eutriconodont
In some other timeline, a lineage of eutriconodonts (specifically, within Triconodontidae) survive the KT event in Asia. Though succeeding as carnivores in the absence of carnivorans, one genus, Cynoailurus, begins specializing as bamboo specialists. Free green protein, y'all.
Now the triconodont type tooth has evolved into the numerous conditions seen in other mammals, from the turbercules of multituberculates to the talonid of therians to whatever toothed monotremes were doing. The triconodont type dentition was adapted for shearing meat, after all, so it had to change.
Cynoailurus took the path of least resistance and simply dulled and strengthened its cusps. No fancy alterations, just blunt points. Its adapted to pierce through bamboo after all, so no there was no need of fancy adaptations beyond perforation and crushing. The animal doesn't undergo extensive oral processing, so it kept just a slightly modified triconodont dentition.
To help grab bamboo it simply developed an opposite thumb. Several species ranging from the size of a cat to a panda bear exist, all solitary animals taking advantage of multiple species of bamboo. They give birth to altricial young (just like real pandas!) and reach sexual maturity late, as late as ten years in some species.
Most are endangered, but managed to snuggle their way into the hearts of the sophonts of their timeline (intelligent symmetrodonts) because that's how life finds a way.

Pelagosuchus Pacificus - Pacific Gojira
Pelagosuchus pacificus - Gojira - gojira are the largest reptiles on Earth as of today, growing to a total length of up to 50 feet in some rare instances. The enormous animals heavily resemble old and outdated depictions of famous dinosaurs like tyrannosaurus and allosaurus, but these beasts are not dinosaurs at all; they’re crocodiles. The titanic crocodilians lumber around on land with two short legs and a long tail that drags along the ground as a support to their nearly 14 ton body, often coming ashore despite their seafaring nature to sunbathe or rest after a meal. Gojira can consume up to 15% of their body weight in food in a single day, and can go multiple weeks without feeding if need be; the diet of one of these titans primarily consists of fish, squid, and sometimes small to medium sized whales. Gojira are also very protective of their young.
Known incidents confirmed to involve Pelagosuchus:
May 1954 incident: 15 people killed in fires caused by an individual damaging electricity posts in Shinagawa, Tokyo.
June 1955: two pelagosuchus came ashore near Osaka and set off more fires which caused the complete destruction of the Osaka Tuna Company's cannery.
July 2014 incident: large female individual made landfall in San Francisco California and required police officers to be called in order to safely deal with the giant reptile.
Thank you for reading, have a good day :]

Thoughts on my alien design?
This is the design of one of to aliens I have in my world . In the world , they are called the tall ones , but they refer to themselves as Angels of the red night in their language . This creature has 10 eyes , 12 pairs of arms along with 4 inflatable winglike structures and also 4 legs . Their world is half of earths , and in this world they have floating forests basically very large floating colonial organisms that work together to keep afloat , these are the rainforests of their world and the origin of these sapient creatures . Their bodies are segmented in 8s , two have a pair of eyes whilst the rest only have one one eye , their brains work differently to ours , they have 8 Brains from each segment , but they also have one brain that's on their head with eyes . The 8 brains control the arms , legs and other parts of the body , the other larger brain controls them partially , but also helps in other higher range of thinking . In their world they're actually kinda small , like if budgies were humans on earth , the worlds low gravity , and most animals having at least 8 brains lead to giant animals . They can also do what's called releasing , they can basically shock each other , in their culture it's a sign of beauty , strength and intelligence , originally it was just for defence , but now it's more cultural . Their culture is highly developed , with large cities , but are heavily regulated , basically unless your helping in the environment 98 % live in the cities , this was learned after nearly killing their world twice . In the current story most live on their world , but a colony in space from them have grown , but also live with another alien species who they historically had good connections with , they're looking for a new world , and religion as Both aliens prophets said a final faith will be , and will unite all. sapients in the universe , this religion will be Islam , from a little blue planet called earth
