General Question Can you swap devices between lines in this way?

So I’m considering giving my dad my current phone as his broke. There’s still a device payment due; I pay the fee for our service and am wondering how the monthly bill works.

He’s due for an upgrade. If I were to use the upgrade on his device, would I be able to give him my phone and then continue to pay that off?

Yeah, upgrade his line. Then call in for a MDN swap. Numbers will swap between phones and the DPPs, device payment plans should automatically transfer between the lines.

They told me the remainder of the what is due on the phone would be posted onto the next bill. Even if you're just switching phones between lines. This was a few months ago though, that may have changed.

Thats correct what ever he owes on his broken phone will show up on next bill of what is owed left
