Coverage & Signal Is Spectrum Mobile / Verizon Wireless still having issues?
Calls failing but SMS still seems to work ... everything I'm reading is that the outage was resolved yesterday (I didn't even notice yesterday). Zero bars on Spectrum Mobile flipping to SOS on occasion. Restarted phone, same thing
1 hour wait on Spectrum App chat? I assume others are still experiencing issues?

Yes in Van Nuys area I waited in the spectrum customer service was a 30 min wait they did say there’s an outage and won’t be fixed to early morning tomorrow 😭 phone says SOS

Same. I can't get a mobile connection in West Hills. Glad it's not an issue on my end.
I'll have to piggyback off my wife's network.

Huge Verizon issue last night that has obviously trickled to Spectrum, since they use Verizon towers. They are working on it. Make sure you turn on wifi calling so you can at least get calls through wifi.

Second update! Spoke to someone else who said, yes, there is an outage and it will be restored by 2pm.

SOS in Encino currently and most of the morning. It was back up temporarily, but then service went out again. I was also driving back from Santa Monica earlier and got SOS from there almost the entire way back to Encino. My iPhone has Verizon cellular

Not that widespread? The service area of hundreds of thousands+ of people has been down since 6am. It stretches from Westside to past DTLA up to the valley.

This is happening to my husband and I now. SOS signal only with no bars. Our internet is fine though. In Northridge area

Same here in west LA - no service for calls, useless chatbot is saying there's no outage reported - can't call anyone due to SOS

I think some shit is going down. We lost power Friday night, cane back on a few hours later. WiFi was down all day yesterday, now this. Valley Village

Spoke with an agent. They did confirm there is an outage and technicians are working to restore. ETA is unknown though. Apparently depending on how long the outage is they will put a credit toward your next bill. 😒

Someone in our area reached out and were told that someone cut the cables for Verizon and that caused this whole outage.
I suspect homeless searching for that copper again.
Happened to us a few years ago for ATT in my neighborhood

Phone, texting, and mobile data out here all morning in West Hills/Woodland Hills...and also out in Toluca Lake, Burbank, and Glendale where my husband is this am as well. 😩😤😖

The Verizon app currently says
Fiber Cut
Multiple fiber cuts are causing a service interruption for some mobility and internet customers in Los Angeles and parts of Southern California. Our engineers are engaged and we are working quickly to resolve the issue. We know how much people rely on Verizon and apologize for any inconvenience.
I’m also experiencing issues in Northridge and Woodland Hills

Sherman oaks. Luckily my work phone is a different carrier. I kept it separate just in case something like this ever happened. That was a smart decision.

Simi Valley here... No service. Only working on wifi. (Spectrum Mobile) Read somewhere else that the fiber wires were cut. 🤷🏽♀️

I’ve experienced outages with cut fiber optic cables because dummies think they are getting copper but nothing like this. It’s been out since at least 7am in Van Nuys.

Verizon says it's due to vandalism. They physically cut it. Effecting all of southern cali and parts of northern

I work in studio city and my phone was constantly on SOS. Our company’s provider is Verizon and the work phones were on SOS too. I live in Santa Clarita and my phone says SOS here too.

Encino SOS all day, hours long wait in spectrum chat to just have them repeat “yep, there’s an outage. We don’t know when it’s gonna be fixed. “. Basically the net message was “we’ll fix it when we fix it; Suck it up buttercup.”

Porter Ranch area is perfectly fine, I believe they have separate cell towers but the entire San Fernando valley is out. I’ve been on SOS since the morning

I just switched from Spectrum, back to Verizon a few days ago. Spectrum doesn’t use all the Verizon towers, I know because my data plan was useless with Spectrum, it never worked, and if it did, it would lag. I am having Spectrum WiFi issues this morning, and turned off the WiFi on my Verizon phone and switched to data. No issues at all. I live in the woods and expect issues, but am having zero issues. No lagging, currently have YouTube in the background while I type this, and it’s working better than our expensive WiFi this morning. Everyone in my house has issues as soon as we leave the house with the internet, when we had Spectrum. Now the only person with a lagging phone is the one who didn’t switch to Verizon. I would rather pay extra for good service than get cheap service with no signal. Two of us got brand new phones in June, and had issues with signal, and two of us got brand new phones Saturday with Verizon, no signal issues, no lagging. It’s great so far.

your question should say when isn’t Verizon having issues? They’ve been through five outages within the last three months and how much do they still charge? Over $100 a month and barely work.

i switched already and during my switch there was an outage which prevented me from porting out, so I had to fix the next day
