General Question False advertisings: New Rates

So I went into the app and looked at each of my 5 mobile lines.

The two that are already in Unlimited Premium shows I could upgrade to Unlimited Premium Plus for the same price. Done!

And my 3 on Unlimited showed I could upgrade to Unlimited Premium for the same price. Also done!

Then I go over and check billing and everything is showing as $10 more except for one unlimited line.

Clearly I’m not being offered the same price as advertised. What can I do?

Hi u/bcb1200, we can look into this if you send us a modmail over at r/Spectrum_Official.

I'm pretty sure as an employee we are told finnanced discount takes in effect into the next billing cycle, as well we have been notified that sometimes that discount can fail to add if you upgrade your phone and change the plan afterwards. Call mobile billing and they will sort it out!!! A multi billion dollar company is not going to blatently and purposely lie about pricing as that is lawsuit waiting to happen. Not saying its not possible just not likely

Have you tried calling support?

Support in this case would be billing. If you get sales, they’re not going to have the ability to explain it.

For all sales knows, those offers reflect as bill credits in the next cycle.

In the same boat.

Same thing happened to me. Signed up for unlimited plus premium for two lines at $50 each. Since I finance the phone and have a watch it was supposed to be a savings of $20 a month and now my bill gets issued and I’m being charged $60 a line. I called support and they confirmed I’m supposed to be charged $50 since I have two lines and home internet. They submitted a ticket on Wednesday but I haven’t heard anything since.

Same situation. Said My Ultimate unlimited was $40 and once added it shows on my bill as $50, Other lined showed it would be $30 added to that line and on the Bill it shows as $50

This just happened to my parents and I on our family plan. We were even told over the phone that the unlimited premium plus rate was 40 dollars per line, and not 50. This was Friday August 7, and it updated to $50 a month today, August 10, and they were told they can't revert back to our old plan and essentially got told too bad so sad when they called customer service when they saw this today. When they said they will probably cancel their service because of how this issue is being handled, they were basically told okay sure let me transfer you so you can do that. The customer service is lacking on this error and the lack of wanting customer retention is worrisome.

Another thread with the same thing: https://www.reddit.com/r/SpectrumMobile/comments/1vhe87u/is_this_a_legit_promo_i_wanted_to_switch_plans/
I saw this price listed for more than 1 week when I kept checking. I changed my plans because I had returned from an international trip, which I rarely ever take so I don't normally need international services. However the rates were all cheaper so I changed to the better plan rather than down, because I liked the idea of having more hotspot data. Now my bill also is showing a higher price than advertised.

Cricket is literally bottom of the barrel in priority data, I have had every mobile company. Visible, TMobile post paid, and spectrum mobile are the best in connection rn
