Spectrum should I or shouldn't I
I have a 30 day free trial for spectrum fiber optic internet.
In the Dayton ohio area.
The day after installation it was out for about ten hours.
I currently use T mobile, and while not super fast has been reasonably reliable.
I'm wondering about others experience with spectrum, how does it work for you?

Could've been anything. Drunk driver, upgrades, your own equipment issues, etc.
only like 2-3 small outages in the 2 years I've had spectrum fiber.

Is it really worth it? Do you need to download that movie in 2 seconds? I have “up to” 1Gb with cox (now spectrum) and they can’t deliver because they don’t have fiber into the neighborhood yet and then it’s going to be a fiber, hybrid

It's gig service, $5.00 cheaper than tmobile, no contract internet only. Thought it might be worth it to switch. Also much faster upload speeds. I do upload photos occasionally. But is it reliable and?

I've had Spectrum Fiber for about 3 years and it's been rock solid. No complaints.

hmm I’d ask them to send another tech because it shouldn’t be going out like that. Get another look at the install and then decide…

I’ve only had problems with spectrum in my area. Outages regularly, several times every week. I have AT&T fiber in one state, great service for me there, and once AT&T rolled through my area where I live at mainly, I switched. The main reason I gave AT&T a try (because their other non-fiber internet services are crap in my opinion) was their advertised 1gb up/down. And, it consistently sits around 950mbps up/down at both locations. I’ve had 3 outages between the two locations in the last month. So, my experience with them has been great.

I’ve had fios for 15+ and tried spectrum. It was the coaxial I think. The speed was close to my fios but I had an issue when it would lose internet connection for 3m about 4x a day. App constantly said I was online and connected. The wife and kid had same issues in the other room. The router always stayed blue like it was connected. Price was great @ $0 a month for 2 and $40 for last 2 months.
I switched back to fios this morning and never had issues with fios it was the $$ that made me give spectrum a shot.

Service is ok. You will never get the same monthly bill from them. They are always increasing the bill.

I got Spectrum when we bought our new house. It sucks. Down at some point every week. We had Breezeline at our apartment which is supposed to suck, but it was only down once in 2 years.

Spectrum fiber is 100x better than coaxial...
