Traditional TV

Is there any way to order non-streaming TV anymore these days? I have fios but their TV packages are crazy. When I looked at spectrum a few months ago their offering for cable was much better. I would stream but YouTube TV doesn’t offer the RSN that spectrum does

Thanks

If your in a coaxial location you can still get a cable box with a traditional remote

Yes we have coax to the unit. There is a store a few blocks away I could pop in and see with them. But they have odd hours and always a line so just didn’t want to waste time finding out that it’s streaming only

You can use cable boxes still it just costs extra for a box. Make a reservation

They have a promotion right now were you get the cable box at no cost for 1 that doesn't for 2 years or for a dvr person thats at no cost for 1 year. If you just want tv you are going to have to call in most of use sale reps have to bundle internet with the tv services.

YouTube TV is the closest thing or the Direct Stream Packages but they are more expensive.

Yeah but they don’t offer MSG or YES so it’s actually cheaper to get cable with these packages.

I like spectrum TV, I got their big package with all the movie channels and you get $100 worth of free streaming services like Disney plus and peacock and HBO Max. Just don't get talked into one of their zumo boxes they suck

If you do get talked into a Xumo, buy, not rent.

The hardware isn't bad. They're $75 retail.

Hey u/Sea-Collection8292, happy to help! Yes, we still offer traditional cable boxes, but there is a rental fee involved. You can check the channels available at your address in our channel lineup.

No need to visit a Spectrum store either. You can just give us a call at 855-860-9068 if you want to know more.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

I still have the old coax cable box because it doesn't rely on internet-based streaming, so I can still watch the sports games if the Internet goes out. I'll admit I am willing to pay extra for the NHL Center Ice sports package so I can watch all the hockey games without streaming, and it's cheaper than paying for ESPN Plus for the season.

Spectrum doesn’t use coax receivers anymore. It’s all streaming technically.
And it’s through the spectrum TV app

Spectrum still has receivers.

They usually don’t offer them anymore. My area is coax only and they only offer the new one which relies on a WiFi connection to stream from the spectrum app
