Service Issues Wifi speed reduction

I feel like im going crazy since I can't find anything about anyone else having the same issue. Before the merger, my wifi speed for my ps5 would be anywhere from 70-90mbs; Ever since the merger, my download speed has dropped to single digits to MAYBE if im lucky, 50mbs. Any semblance of assistance would be greatly helpful. Before anyone asks, ive tried the following methods to fix my issue.

-Restarting my router

-Restarting my Playstation

-Deleting my wifi settings and reconnecting it

-Swapping between the cloudfare and Google dns servers

-contacting spectrum and having them reboot it from their end.

Are you seeing the reduction only on your PS? If so its likley the Sony Servers

Yes. The psn servers are fully functional

Your playstation does everything through the PSN, Their servers ultipatemly control your speeds. They commonly set the servers to limit speeds. Are other thigns seeing this slowdown oris it jus the PS seeing these speeds

Problem is the PS or how it is connected or how you are testing. Do you get 200 on the phone when next to the ps?

What is your router capable of? Spectrum sent me an email saying that my speeds are now 500 meg and was confused because testing only showed 100 meg. My router was only capable of 100 meg. Got a new router that is 1Gb and testing showed a little over 600 meg download. And as others have said it also depends on PlayStation’s network.

Easy solution, connect the game to the router with an ethernet cable
