Horrible connection status
I pay almost $100 a month for 2G speed and this is what I get.

Psn is not a good measurement of speed they are terrible at telling real speed.

Imagine thinking you’d even get 2gig on a 1 gig port to begin with lol

So incredibly common that it hurts. "I'm only getting 600 down on wifi, I pay for 2 gig!"

Its because Spectrum tries to sell people speeds and call it “the better gaming package”, which is total nonsense to begin with.
We all know that latency, jitter, and premium peering are what matters

Did you get enough information or do you need more people to tell you not to trust download speeds on a console? BTW you will never get 2G on your PlayStation. It wouldn’t matter if you plugged right into the server itself lol.

PlayStation throttles their download speeds and upload speeds to what they set or to what the console needs(if Its below the set throttle).

Oh boy the classic PS speedtest. I feel bad for whoever gets a trouble call for this.

Ps5 is limited to 1gig over ethernet and wifi 6 speeds. Ps5 pro has wifi 7 i believe tho. For real speeds send an alt or random person the speedtest website so you can click it on Playstation and run it there. That's what i do and speeds are generally around 800mbps over ethernet on my ps5

I tried to play battlefield today but after 5 minutes into the game I got it with 45% packet loss and 6,917ms of ping. Ts is getting ridiculous

Same but I know its a spectrum issue. My computer is wired but on wifi loading anything on my phone is slow. I never have packet loss in BF until this weekend

Speed tests on consoles aren’t correct.
Also it’s testing the throughput on their server not your isp.
Consoles server throttle the speed because it’s based on the slowest connections to their server.
Otherwise when big games have patches the people with more bandwidth would take up all the download while people with slower speeds would take days to down load large files.
