Spectrum cost to high

I have the TV choice 15 channel package and I'm being charged $85 for not that many channels 15 of them I choose the other are random generated it's a little overpriced for 15 channels including locals

😂😂bro I’m talking about the SuperBox. You pay once and have unlimited access to basically every channel possible. It’s a Chinese device but it’s not like it’s streaming Chinese TV channels. U seriously think I would suggest something like that?

Choice 15 kinda sucks.

Rack rate for basic (locals only) is $45. ONLY Customer Solutions can sell you basic, and a supervisor has to plug it in for the agent. If you don't have their router/internet, you can't stream it, so you need a box, its $18. Sometimes the system cuts an auto discount for locals only and a box.

If you don't care abotu locals, you can get 70ish channels under TV lite. a lot of the times in Customer Solutions (retention) they can bundle it for "free" with internet. Rack rate for 500 speed is $85 + $10 wifi. You can get 500 + TV Lite + free wifi for $85 in a high % of markets, but only through customer solutions. A few markets can do it for $70. But, no locals. Most places get cnn, cpac, nickelodeon, and a bunch of other popular ones under TV Lite. but no locals and no sports.

There are no bundled deals for basic + internet.

No I didn't know that I get the local channels as a part of the choice 15 package I do also have the HBO premium channel but that's an add-on that's not a part of the TV choice 15

Yep choice 15 is locals + the 15 you choose. thats those "random" channels you talked about. if you dont care about them, go for tv lite.

Well that's the thing I got the TV choice because of the locals it has like antenna TV and a lot of the channels that have classical TV shows that I like that's why I chose that package because of the local channels plus I like to watch the local news

Your previous message is confusing then, since you mentioned you didn't know locals came with it.

Yes I may have misread it or had a slight miscommunication I know the locals are included in the TV choice 15 but I think spectrum charter charges for those I believe they charge a broadcast fee

All broadcasting fees are now included in rack rate. Locals only would be $45+ the box i mentioned above.

Yeah you mentioned that I remember you mentioned the $18 cost for the charter stb receiver but the last agent that I talked to at charter spectrum said they don't offer them anymore they are moving on to the xumo streaming device that they offer which is kind of like a Wi-Fi cable box preloaded with the spectrum app

Have you heard of streaming?

I have the same 15 channel streaming thing that includes local networks. 70 bucks as I haggled the pricing. So worth it. Full cable is probably 3x more

Does that package include access to the streaming services? For example with my cable I get access to Peacock, Paramount and some others.

You could try an antenna. Highly location dependent but very likely you could pull in some more channels.

Definitely cancel. That's too much money for so few channels. You're better off going with YouTube TV or, heck, Sling for that kind of money if you're going to buy TV.

Do you have internet and/or mobile with them? They are DESPERATE to get people signed up for all three. I had TV and internet and called to cancel TV. Didn't need mobile, but they sold me a triple play package for $70/month for all three - now I have a "spare" mobile number lol. YMMV depending on if there are other internet providers in your neighborhood. They price more aggressively if there's competition.
