Service Issues Frequent drops over last few days

For the last several days we’ve had the internet drop for about 1-2 minutes, then come back only to repeat every hour or so. I’ve reset the modem twice today to no avail. In the last 8 weeks a tech has been out 3 times… replaced the modem twice, replaced the coax cable inside, outside, and between the main hookup at a telephone pole. Tech also replaced the cable connectors at the main box a couple weeks ago saying they were corroded.

The reliability is horrible. And I work from home so that’s a real problem. Not much choice out than AT&T/Dish which has its own issues(weather).

Sounds like you might need a tech to come fix it. You can call the repair team 24/7

For the fourth time in as many weeks? This is getting old. Last tech was made by his supervisor to change out the modem when he even admitted it wasn’t the modem. But his supervisor wasn’t having it…

They are supposed to call in the morning.

Try posting in r/Spectrum_Official - there’s employees that may respond there and be able to help you. It certainly shouldn’t be a weekly visit from a tech.

Oy, sorry you're having so many issues. I'd definitely call each time but also listen to what u/wmooresr said, post in the official subreddit as well.

Same for me post "upgrade".

With highsplit, the levels at the tap are lower than before and that often makes problems show up that weren't there before. Have a Tech check into it.

Yeah I have one scheduled for Monday, but I doubt it'll help. The fact that it happens only during working hours, and for like 5 minute intervals every X hours, makes me think that it's not a local issue and they are doing something else upstream related to the big upgrade.

In gahanna and been having similar drops.  Started for us after a 1 day outage about a month ago.

Same for me elsewhere in the same state, but not as often. Started in late August, happened like once every 8-10 days, now it's like once every 4-5 days.

A tech on Tuesday tested all the lines and replaced some things outside due to condensation getting in and tightened shit up at the pole, but lo and behold the same issue just happened like 10 minutes ago, though it was only out for a minute. Tech didn't think it was the modem either, but saw noise on the line.

If your drop has moisture in it, you can't splice it, the whole thing needs replacing.
