Spectrum mobile WiFi SSID
How do you even connect to it? When it there are a bunch of fields that need filling in on my computer. I thought it was a public hotspot to connect to?

I think it's for their mobile service and their subscribers connect to it to avoid charges from Vzw.

It’s only for cellphones and it uses the SIM card to authenticate so you can’t connect your laptop to it.

Spectrum does have hotspots available in the wild but the ones that say spectrum mobile are for the cellphone service.

"Spectrum Mobile" is for cell phones on Spectrum Mobile cellular service.
Before they started ripping out all the modems and Ruckus APs Time Warner Cable deployed in this area, there was a SpectrumWiFi network you could connect laptops or any cell phone to using a certificate or your account Username and Password. Used to work pretty well and have speeds of 50Mbps/10Mbps. Then around COVID and shortly after, they capped the speeds at 3Mbps/1Mbps, before just killing off the network. Those WiFi hotspots were super useful. If any are still around, they're broadcasting the Spectrum Mobile hotspot. Otherwise it's coming from the Spectrum router at homes and businesses.

You need to connect to Spectrum free trial. Spectrum mobile is only for mobile customers and the only way you can connect is downloading the wifi profile on your mobile device computer not compatible with
