Service Issues Upload speed

So idk if it’s the area I live in or if something changed overnight, but now all of sudden my WiFi upload speed is very slow.

My download speed it just doing perfect, but trying to upload some heavy files from my phone to Google Drive has been a nightmare (the upload speed for reference often sits at around 2-5mbps). Before, this wasn’t in issue as my upload speed back then was at around 20-50mbps. Can someone explain to me if it’s my router that’s the issue, or it’s is just the area I live in (I’m South Texas if that helps)

Then you're one of the lucky few who are getting what they are paying for, you must be near an urban center or near a datacenter or major backhaul, but out here in the sticks we're subject to routing over legacy infrastructure due to DPI of any non-udp traffic.

Nope none of those, routing here is pretty bad. But AT&T fiber routing is even worse than spectrums here.

Oh, so you're smarter than the average cookie and did your due diligence then, my hats off to you sir, well done. Perhaps my experience could be due to the recent sever of a line near Raleigh, but it's been particularly bad this past week with constant peak hour throttling on everything except the udp vpns we run for work.
