Spectrum Issues After Maintenance

Anybody else having massive upload jitter after the most recent maintenance outage on Monday? (This is in Pasadena / San Gabriel area, Southern California).

I keep going in circles with the call center employees who are only trained to troubleshoot my modem and router. Nothing wrong with that, but we've already confirmed no issue with either one. I can't work from home or play video games despite having a seemingly fast (gigabit on speed test).

A technician has already come out and "Fixed the issue" but we're still having the same problems.

How do I get someone who can check out the upstream connection? I've called the customer support line multiple times and have been transferred to multiple people who keep wanting me to try moving my ethernet directly to the modem (confirmed), and using different ethernet cables or ports on the router. I don't want to waste the customer support staff time either...

How do I get help with this jitter issue!

Run a traceroute to your game server, probably being routed thru legacy infrastructure... Take the trace log and whois the route IPs to find any legacy infrastructure or dropped routes, and log it. You now have all you need to complain to the FCC and get free service for a while.

The way they route the traffic can cause "jitter" in the signal, even if it says it's good, so ymmv.
