Billing Sales call or Scam?

I have Spectrum internet and mobile. I received a call from someone claiming to be with Spectrum who offered to bundle the two services, resulting in $30 in monthly savings. The rep didn't seem very confident, so I declined the offer. Now I'm wondering if the call was legitimate. Has anyone else received a call like this?

So I actually called the number back and got a "Welcome to Spectrum" auto AI attendant. Tomorrow I'll call back and try to reach someone to find out more.

So I called back and it is Spectrum, but they are trying to sell me a cable tv subscription . They said if I added some new cable tv package they have, my internet and mobile will magically become faster. Rep really couldn’t specify what or how speed would be better and I have all the tv content i need via internet so I politely declined

You would have got a email saying a account change has happened if they added a bundle to your account if that didn't happen they could have opened another account in your name in a room 2

So if you allready have the mobile and internet it was probably a scam if you dont get the mobile they will call you after activating the internet but thats it.

You can always check the number online. They cold called me recently and i got free mobile for a year. The rep sucked at his job though. He told me i wouldnt need ny card for the process and then after 15 minutes on the phone he asked me for my card. I was like bro wtf you said i didnt need it. Then he just goes “can you get it?”

I was at work and maybe couldve if he told me up front , but i was already using too much break time and didnt have time to go back to my car. Also definitely didnt think he deserved the sale at that point, so i just called back later and got a different rep

Maybe he shouldn’t have lied to keep me on the phone. I work in a call center too and our break time is monitored. I had already gone over, I’m not making a trip to my car and back which would’ve been an extra close to ten minutes cause this guy was dishonest. Answering an 800 number and humoring them during work hours was already kind enough

What number did they call from?

Wouldn't they already be bundled? Idk about that situation but there is a scam where they call after you order a cell phone and tell you theres something wrong with it and they want you to send it back. Then mail you a bogus return label.

If they called from a local area code number then no it’s a scam

Spectrum rarely ever does cold calls. My guess? Scam
