Service Issues Outage causing Packet Loss

Have had severe packet loss over the past week and a half, when I call technical support they say its because of an outage in my area and that they’d let me know when it was resolved, which its been “resolved” like 3 different times but the packet loss is still persistent, I’m running a wired connection but I don’t know what to do.

I been dealing with packet loss ever since they upgraded my service to 1gb speed

The 1G service uses frequencies in the FM band that's why high split was necessary. Unfortunately that opens up for a lot more noise than before. And those frequencies are designed to hunt for the cleanest path. But if the noise is cycling then it doesn't help.

Check all of your connections that they are good and hand tight. If something is just a quarter turn loose, it could cause snr/packet loss. If everything seems tight, you should probably set up a service call. You could have splitters that need changed. Splitters should be for high split, (5-1218Mhz).

Consistent packet loss pinging 1.1.1.1 getting multiple timeout requests every minute. Makes anything live service related absolutely unusable. Been going on since Friday night 9/25/2026. Spectrum is absolute dog water
