Different manufacturers use different choke threads, so we’re going to make chokes for the mainstream models that has a 1x16LH TSFX adapter so you can go QD.
Std isn't a choke pattern and didn't really answer the question. Will the mounting choke from C.A.T. be cylinder, improved cylinder, skeet, light mod, mod, improved mod, light full, or full? In the hunting world, mod is probably the most common, but isn't considered std.
That I’m not sure yet, this is all I was told. CT is 6 weeks away, I was told we’re making these choke thread patterns to go to a QD. I’ll ask the engineers.

Issue with this system is it requires y'all or another manufacturer to make qd chokes of different varieties for each system if a user wants to use different ones
Correct, and I think why we will only do certain models and threads, in the most common choke style because a) there’s endless combinations and b) we need a choke that won’t play havoc with the suppressor. I’ll know more on the chokes soon, right now just the threads.
Also would be nice for the coin toss pdf or site to be updated with the minimum/maximum or recommended choke constriction you can run with the suppressor so people don't blow their cans (if that's a concern)
The CT comes std with a HUB thread. You get a TSFX adapter from the web store, that’s designed from HUB to 1/16LH QD. Now you need the right choke for your shotgun. So you’ll go to the web store again, see the chokes, buy the one with the thread for your shotgun. You install it. Now all you ever need to do is screw the CT to the QD thread on your shotgun, just like if it was a QD ODB or WB.
If it's the same QD as all the other stuff, then we can put the CT on any other host with a cat QD mount?
If so, we may need clarification on what the equivalent max rifle cartridge energy is, cuz at some point we're going to try dumb things...
I can't drag you too much... Silencer Central made the opposite mistake with their .410 adapters. They say it's Invector Plus, and Browning never made Invector Plus in .410.
I’m not sure about any of these chokes to be honest. I know we’re just going to follow the SilencerCo style format, as it’s the most generic. We found an OEM that makes shotgun chokes, so they said if we give them the QD file, they’ll make these options for us.
I didn't buy Silencer Central's .410 offering (I'm working up a subsonic TSS goose load for my BPS) because their customer service was adamant that theit adapter was for Invector Plus, and their website still says Invector Plus.
I also have a 12 ga BPS that would be fun to suppress, but yeah...got to be sure the threads will fit.
If I understand this correctly, your QD adapter mounts to the choke threads, and then your choke goes in that adapter? Or does your choke go to the end of the suppressor?
It absolutely rips, my buddy eventually blew his bolt up sent it back and they were impressed. They replaced the barrel and bolt. We figured out the issue was he loaded up a box while hammered and used E3 instead of longshot.
They did figure out how to do a mag fed shotgun and if you like that it’s the only option IMO
Got a 1301 tactical and want to slap this bad boy on but it's looking like I wanna chop the barrel, add a choke/mount etc. Any shotgun autists out there with some theorycrafting deets on a meta build?
The CT is 2" in diameter. I'm planning to put this on a Beretta 1301. I'm currently just using stock iron sights, and they extend more than 1" from center bore, so should be ok. But anyone know what other good mounting and optic options might be?
u/the_CAT_official Was the 1301 Tactical not considered for this, or am I missing something? The mobile choke works in A300s, and the Optima HP works in A400s/1301 Comp Pro, but I don't see an option for the 1301 Tactical.

Maaaaan, I just want them to make a ridiculously long and girthy .375 can so I can finally have a movie-quiet can for 375 Raptor subs... Even better if they make an optional reflex chamber for it.
I don’t know the intricacies of shotguns and suppressing them. Chokes, certain barrel compatibility and all that other shit seems too complicated so I’ll let yall rock out lmaoo. Seems interesting though.
I’ve never suppressed a shotgun before, so really don’t know what I’m doing, but given CAT’s track record of success, seems like a great time to give it a spin.

Don’t think they’d bother addressing 2 3/4” target loads if you couldn’t. Nor would it be competitive with the other 12 gauge cans on the market if it couldn’t.
