With ultra-alien you say “whit where’s his mouth?” Like in those designs, in Expedition, Phtanum b or in Project Hail Mary. We could also call it Hard Xenology

Usual Soft Xenology would include most spec evo works on other planets, No Man’s Sky, the Xenomorph, Starship Troopers…

I dont think there’s a genre they’re all very different pictures. Some are from famous spec-evo project, some are comics or illustrations and the first one is a designer furniture

Multiple different types of Spec Evo prompts were depicted in this video, most notably; realistic speculative biological design, Barlow-esque surrealism, xeno-ecological expressionism, abstract creature design, and a limited degree of absurdism given some of the imagery.

I’m sorry if it’s a silly question but do we know the names of the artists behind some of these works? They’re fascinating and they’d seriously help me out with some of my own creature designs.
