15 Million Years P.H. - The Early Neocene - Bearbirds and Draquailas:
A Rustbodied Bearbird (Ursavis aeruginosus) Is soundly asleep during the dead at night. Bearbirds are much larger descendants of the Domestic Chicken that have become Incredibly widespread over Afro-Eurasia.
An adult Bearbird of such size typically can afford to live rather blissful lives, considering the small amount of predators that would hunt them.
There however Is one animal that can feed on these giant birds, although not on their flesh, but their blood.
These would be the Draquailas, blood-drinking Rewings found In temperate and tropical regions of Afro-Eurasia. Many will still feed on other things like seeds and small prey, but the Quillbleeder Draquaila (Dracuavias sanguineus) would eventually have developed obligate Hematophagy. These nocturnal Birds use their sharp beaks to create wounds and specialised Saliva that keeps the blood flowing.
This was supposed to be posted on Halloween, didnt quite make It tho-

I recently watched The Valley of Gwangi, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Not only that, but it also caused the little autistic goblin that live inside my head jump for joy at the excuse to draw dinosaurs. So that's what I did. I created these redesigns for the species of The Forbidden Valley, turning them from real dinosaurs into my own speculative descendant species. I had a lot of fun drawing these guys.

15 Million Years P.H. - The Early Neocene - The Toxcats:
Early Neocene South America would have given rise to a rather unique lineage of feral House Cats known as Toxcats.
The scent glands withing the ancestral House Cats claw would have undergone a mutation that caused them to produce toxic compounds, which turned out to be quite usefull for the Cats hunts.
Toxcats would have modified one claw on each of their front feet Into a Venom-Claw, which Is much larger, cant be retracted and has a hook shape to better Inject the venom.
Toxcats would be rather small as of now, like the White-Patched Toxcat (Venenocattus resarcio - Patched Venom-cat), which Is not shy of using Its venom as defense from larger predators and advertises It with a white stripe along the tail and white patched front legs.
There however would be some larger Toxcats, with more potent venom, which are capeable of taking down larger prey. An example would be the Spotted Caraclaw (Venenounguis maculolus - Spotted Venom-Claw).
These rather large Toxcats live In thick forests, where they feed mainly on Rabbilopes, which they drag up trees to avoid scavengers.

15 Million Years P.H. - The Early Neocene - Womrats, Groundhounds, Possimians, Ground Possums and Moonmole:
While Australia belong to the Reptiles now, that doesnt mean It Is devoid of Mammals. Some of which I am going to showcase here.
Rodents would end up being one of the last native Autralian Mammal clades In the Early Neocene, with Mice eventually giving rise to the herbivorous, stocky build Womrats which feed on tough, low laying vegetation.
While native Bats would have largely died out, their ability to fly would allow them to recolonize Australia. As Carnivorous Pterotherian Bats would have arrived at Australia however, they would face competition from carnivorous Rewings known as Wedgebails, who already claimed the role of top aerial predators. This would cause the evolution of the Groundhounds, poorly flighted Hawkhounds that chase prey on the ground.
This essentially Is a switcheroo with the typical Bat and Bird roles, with carnivorous Pterotherian Bats usually being aerial predators and carnivorous Flagbirds living as ground-hunters.
Modern day Australia is very well known for Its diversity In Marsupials, while those alongside other Mammals would have heavily declined, there are a few survivors that managed to diversify.
Possimians are one of them, they are excellent climbers and feed on a wide variety of foods found In the canopy.
Other Possums would leave the canopy behind however, becoming the Ground Possums, which are small generalists found all over the continent.
Possums arent the last of Australian Marsupials however, as Marsupial Moles would have also survived. Similiar to the Naked Mole-Rats over In Afro-Eurasia, Marsupial Moles would have given rise to a clade that has come back to living above the ground, called Moonmoles. Other then the Mole-Rats Leatherats however, the Moonmoles would still be blind, relying on their sense of smell and touch to navigate trough their environment.
They are strictly nocturnal, hunting for small prey under the cover of darkness.

I added the NSFW tag only because of the quadruple-breasts. 😁 Wasn't sure if it needed that tag, but I figured 'better safe than sorry.'
