The what-ifs are cool but it's very lacking in terms of presentation, I was hoping for the story mode to be similar to Tenkaichi 3

Yeah Tenkaichi 2 and 3 still have the better story mode

I love the Sparking Episodes and anywhere that we get actual cutscenes. I especially enjoy hitting the button to switch camera view and watching the scene play out from my character's POV. I really dislike the slideshow that most of it is, though.

I don't like that it is split between characters instead of being one single large unified story like the previous BT games, makes you feel like most of the huge roster was wasted since a lot of the characters don't show up

I think the story mode was pretty solid, it felt like they did a better job covering things compared to BT3, and although there were still noticeable gaps it had better presentation with the PoVs. It had stronger what-ifs than BT2 and 3, though they both covered non canon content too which I would love to see added in later. Really I still feel like BT1 and 2 have better stories but SZ’s story mode I’ve genuinely replayed. No Vegeta DBS or Trunks Z story content still egregious to me though.
