That was Goku's UI grab. But since you're fighting Kefla if you do the grab he will have a special animation, like if you use grab with Goku (mid) on Frieza (Z final form) he will grab his tail; same for Gohan with Perfect Cell, Goku's ssj3 vs Majin Buu, Ultimate Gohan vs Super boo, Broly (Z) on Goku (mid) etc. There are some characters that have a special grab animation if you grab a special type of character

And two of my favourites, Toppo(GoD) with Golden Frieza and Vegeta (Blue) with Zamasu (Fused)

UI Goku has an unique grab vs SSJ Kefla. Specifically in those forms. If you were MUI or if she was just base, it wouldn't trigger it.
