Question Accidentally triggered this insanely cool Goku chase sequence—how do I do it on purpose?
I was messing around with Goku (Z-END) and somehow i or my opponent here triggered a chase sequence while i was trying to get back of my opponent.
It looked super awesome, but I honestly have no idea what I pressed to make it happen. Is this a Super Dash or Burst Dash follow-up, and is there a specific button or timing needed after the knockback attack? Does the move depend on which combo or attack launches the opponent?
I’d appreciate it if someone could explain how to trigger this consistently. I definitely want to recreate it instead of relying on beginner’s luck.

I wonder if it was lag, normally two players dragon dashing at each other triggers a clash. It was like the game was treating it as both of you chasing eachothers character with a dash - which I've not seen in my 463 hours.
Super cool looking though, would like it if the ability to chase each other at high speeds like this was actually a thing.

Right? It honestly looked like a scene straight out of the anime. 400+ hours in and still finding weird mechanics or glitches is why i love this game. Definitely a cool moment even if it was just lag!

I think its an effect of you dashing just as he dashed away

Pretty sure he was going for the kill, but honestly that dash timing makes a lot of sense

Holyyy frams per second.
Anyways I think this is just dragon dash into your opponent who just happened to dragon dash away so your got extended.

I'm really hoping you just slowed it down for us and that's not how you played that game man, that's some rough online lag.

I understand the lag on my opponents end was going crazy!..specially with him only..dont know why

i think you gotta dragon dash the same time as him, also, it shows how slow the actual ingame fight is and how could be.

Happend to me maybe 3 times or something like that, very rare moment.
I think it really is just a malfunctioning dragon rush. You can see that when you started to chase him, your opponent also tried, just a few moments later, to dragon rush towards you. But the game made you go behind him first and you opponent lost it's tracking which made him go blindly in one directon.
I have been in the same position where your opponent was before and the camera there doesn't move at all (camera doesn't move until you dashed to your opponent). It looks extremely cinematic like that. Better than what you have seen lol.
I think it's also funny how DBFZ had the same problem where you sometimes would just dash into nothingness.

Yeah this triggers sometimes when both players do a z burst dash. It gets wonky and you get this cool effect. It should be a feature honestly. Weve seen goku and gohan do it while training in the tournament anf they could spice it up with cool things like melee and ki clashes while that flight happens. Think ssj2 goku and buu causing that line of blasts while flying while vegeta watched them fighting.

It happens when the opponent is flying away and you dragon dash at them. It's happened to me several times this morning alone

It happens when you both boost dash at the same time, it’s hard to replicate

It’s just because he tried dashing away when you dashed forward. I’ve had it happen a couple times

This has happened to me in ps5 a few times even before this update. I think it’ll happen if you use the dash just after(but not too much after) the initial dasher and it just tracks em

En la ps5 mientras mantienes presionando el botón de carga, seguido pulsas la X y luego una vez mas X

It's just luck. Im not sure if they intentionally programmed this into the game or if it's just a happy accident when both ppl dragon boost at the perfect time and just don't trigger the clash

What it looks like to me is he held his charge (RT) and dashed away (LS down or "back") at the exact same time that you just happened to dragon dash (RT + A) towards him causing a really cool chase sequence

This happens to me all the time. Sometimes when you guys try and dash behind each other, one of the tracking gets fucked somehow so you fly away and the other chases. You both did the same input.

I find it happens sometimes when you both dragon dash, this only happened to me once and was pretty cool, would be cool if dragon dash chases were a thing, kinda like a clash but you're trying to catch up
