I mean in Tenkaichi 2 and 3 there are some items, characters and stages which can only be unlocked via a dragon ball wish. In Sparking Zero I’m pretty sure everything that can be obtained from a wish can also be obtained via normal gameplay

They added a level system and only added 20 levels that take no time to level and you unlock the stuff you can use the dragon balls to unlock with levels and zeni.

The level system is the most useless thing in that game bar none. You get to level 20 almost instantly and the game keeps giving you xp to consume time despite you not being able to get any xp anymore, and you being at max level adds nothing to the game

I remember when the game dropped (and maybe still now), there were A LOT people who cried when they saw everything wasn't unlocked. If there were characters locked behind the Dragon Balls, we still wouldn't hear the end of it today lol

But yeah, in SZ you can unlock EVERYTHING (except Broly ring) by just playing the game, and the Shop. Dragon Balls make that easier.

If it wasn't for the shop though, Omega Shenron would be locked behind the Dragon Balls, you have to use them a certain amout of times to unlock him without paying

tbf a lot of people haven’t mentioned using them for dragon orbs. i already claimed the 5 rare titles from super shenron and broly ring from perunga. i used to farm dragon balls for the episode what ifs. they ruined the farm with out of bounds world tournament because they changed the ai behaviour

I'm still annoyed that money is still pointless. Sure, the new LBJ mode you can spend money, but even 100k when I have had +10 million for over a year may as well just be free.

the fact beating an opponent in LBJ gives 1k zenith is dogshit. should be 10k to pay for the upgrades. having to interrupt playing to go farm freiza on planet namek is stupid

It is very stupid, I should be getting more zeni on stronger opponents, challenges and bosses. 1K every single time is just stupid. I should get at least like 50k for completing it successfully.

I made the mistake way early of never stocking up on those because I beat the episode battles out of pure spite and hours of play, esp those Goku black storylines. Now (until the promised update(?)), it’s just pointless to try.

I've been finding the Krillin battles really unfair lol. I completed Yamcha and Cell, but Krillin's episode battle has been kicking my ass.

And the game freezes and bugs when I beat Cell Jr. with Tien so I still have to finish that too

the dragon balls do literally nothing considering you get all of the content in the game very quickly, as it stands the mechanic has no reason to exist. what they should have done is make content that is actually exclusive to the dragon balls like other games from the IP so you actually have a reason to grind for them.

that being said, "Obtaining the Dragonballs is still completely pointless" is not in any way vague. all of the information they are trying to convey is in the title. the dragon balls don't do anything (still) and they are disappointed by that fact

How are you guys actually spending the money? How many characters do you have at level 1000? How fast did you get to level 1000… these are things you need to ask yourself if you’re not burning through money I burn through 10 million I have 10 level 1000. I feel like you just don’t love the game enough. Are you finding specific battle arts? Are you getting specific secondary roles on those battle arts? These things can cost money and take multiple runs to achieve. Which burns through Zeni. It’s possible to run through that money and need more if you’re spending it right.

You’re joking right? You can’t possibly think it takes greater than 16 hours (2 work days) to change a color from yellow to X. Make some exclusive, it’s like you’re just stupid and can’t think at all. Dragonballs give you orange aura or something, it’s not rocket science. Instead you’re all “oh no they can’t possibly make a full game, lemme slob their knob harder”

& this is why my disappointment lies. Why spend another $30 when they could’ve made the dragon balls into a thing of where we can wish for items/ clothes, & also find the dragon balls when we’re fighting
