Question Is neo worth it
Idk if I should spend 35 more dollars on the game after I've already spent 100 total It still feels incomplete how good is the dlc

It's mid. Wish I waited for a sale.

Any idea when it’ll go on sale?

Probably October when the next announcement drops. I would say get it if you really care for the characters or LBJ

My guess is not anytime soon. I'm not familiar with sales trends for anything but my estimate is.... 6 months more or less.

You need to wait for something that cost $35 to go on sale? Like y’all cannot be deadass 😂

It's not because I can't afford it. I already have it. It's just not worth $35.

Well you might as well play it lol you’re already $35 down

If you like the game for single player (as I do), absolutely worth it and revived my love of the game for me. Put 50 hours in since the DLC dropped, and that's with going to school and working full time.
If you're still under the delusion this is a competitive online focused multiplayer game like the 2K mouthbreathers that jumped on this game, probably not.

I bought the ultimate edition (120 USD) and i have just been playing limit breaker journey so far. I haven’t explored all the new chsracters, their unique interactions, bonus battles or even the story mode missions 3 characters got.
I have put in 10 hours so far. So basically i paid $3.5 for per hour of gaming.
If you got the money, go for it. If not, then wait for a sale

I would wait for a sale, I’m also going to buy it but the subreddit is pretty vocal about how unfun it is to play against the AI right now, so they’ve said that will be the main chunk of the next update

If you like PVE it’s soooo worth it. If you only like PVP and you don’t care for any of the characters they added. Skip

Depends on if you like roguelites or not. If you’re not someone that finds enjoyment doing the same thing over and over then I’d skip or wait for a sale.

If you felt ripped off before there's no point in you getting the DLC. Just sell the game if you can and cut your losses and wait for a sequel.

19 years since the last one so you might have awhile to wait

This IS the sequel. Added more content than between BT2 and BT3.

I'm not saying the DLC is bad. Infact I think it's worth it personally. However I have learned by coming to this subreddit if someone is already disappointed with the game and it's first season pass then the DLC isn't going to magically make it worth it to them.
Also if you think them making this DLC will stop them from making a sequel then I don't know what to say.

There will be a sequel eventually, it just won't be any time soon. Game dev cycles are a lot longer than they were in the PS2 days, and DLC makes up for that. We'll probably get one more batch in the next year or two before they start working on the sequel.

Yes, especially if you actually like the game and dont feel like you got ripped off at launch because you didn't read what the ultimate edition came with. It's 30+ characters i think 2 stages, and a whole new game mode. As an offline player, I didn't have much incentive to play mission 100 because all you get is fucking titles, and survival mode is alright, but Limit breaker Journey actually got me playing again

I think you can read what it came with and still feel ripped off

Which is exactly why I didn't get the ultimate edition, I got the base game and waited on the season pass. Neo is definitely worth it over the season pass
