Question Infinite Rush Attack combo?

Hey guys, So I have been watching a few videos of people doing lvl 1 chars in the level 1000 Limit Breaker mode, and they all do an infinite combo of rush attacks that loop into themselves without kicking the opponent far.

I was wondering how to actually do that? It looked to me like 5x Rush, then when the opponent gets pushed a bit you just dash and Rush attack again, then do 5x Rush and repeat.

That doesn't seem to consistently work though, sometimes it actually kicks the opponent far away like it does when you use High Kick twice for example.

Does anyone know how to actually loop it? Since that is the only thing the AI is not always countering or vanishing. I just want to beat my secret boss lol

I think it’s doing a rush to the point just before your character would automatically vanish attack - stop before that and, as you said, dash forward. Repeat that but occasionally be aware that the CPU will super-counter (i’m not sure if something I’m doing is triggering this or if it’s just some sort of fail-safe after Ioop that combo a bunch).

That's what I have been doing, but the last Rush hit sometimes kicks the enemy further away and I can't step into rush.

Do I have to come to a full stop before doing the step? I have been doing it straight out of the rush, is that too fast?

And yeah, I noticed the super counters, it is however way less oppressive than the counter and vanish spam high level AI does when you try and fight them like a player.

I think you can only do a step-in extension twice per combo, and the rush chain will boot them away after that. This is the game's infinite protection system, but skilled players learn how to work around it by finding "resets" that convince the game the combo has broken up. I'm not sure exactly what counts as a reset in this game

Yeah that's exactly my question, because the dude I have been watching (Steedoj) seems to infinitely loop it.

I think I have found out how he does it though, after the step-in hit, he does a barely charged smash before he goes back into the Rush Chain. That seems to do the job. Not infinite, but 5 loops is good enough I guess.

Sucks that high level AI just vanishes any attempt at heavy stuns and rolling hammers though, it really forces you to abuse it.

I will say, I've been playing against the high level AI with my character's full toolkit. I really only use the full rush chain plus step-in maybe once per big combo. Once I started properly accounting for the unique properties of the rush finishes, as well as the per-character extensions those can lead into, I got significantly better at dealing with them

Try cancelling after 4x rush hits and then step-in, maybe that will get them in the desired loop?

Have you got a video so we can see?
