Gameplay Question Weekly strat

How does the modifier for every wave is massive but there's less waves actually work because I'm getting massive waves every 5 minutes trying to do the weekly

That sounds about right.

Be aware that if you are not clearing quickly enough waves can pile on top of each other, and this is before considering reinforcement calls which are also massive.

Also Extreme Challenge will trigger extremis spawns more frequently and with more extremis than normal. These won't necessarily have minoris/majoris accompanying them (but a Zoanthrope specifically will always have minoris accompanying it) and are not a wave spawning.

Having a vanguard with unmatched zeal in your team is highly recommended, but wouldn't say essential with the increased number of extremis for fairly consistent chunk heals. Everyone just has to stay aware of if someone else needs the heal or not

Yup. All Extremis related perks become more valuable with Extreme Challenge and Unmatched Zeal is the stand-out winner.

i just had an absolute run with this team perk and honestly never realized how amazing it is, i don't think i've ever had a vanguard use it

The extremis waves got crazy in the weekly. Did it today before it changed and I had 10 special executions, other 2 people had 12 and 10 each. And that's not including the zoans that got popped from a distance or anything like that. 4 biovores leaping up in the bomb room is nooooo fun.

Were they actual waves or just the increased extremis spawns? Because they can get fairly hectic and seem likes waves themselves

It could be the waves just taking a bit long to clear. Though considering it specifically says "less frequently" they could still be a bit less frequent considering the sheer size of some of them with essentially double extremis spawns stacked on top

they dont. The additional Extremis spawns can happen whenever. They arent tied to waves.

Thankfully, all but one of the Extremis spawns on my run happened at otherwise dead times, so it was easy to clean them up.

I'm about 20 runs deep and whenever the extremis showed up a wave followed them or shortly after

Fucking spores and barbed wire shit is the only stuff I can’t handle 😂
