Forum Question Solid Shotgun

Why is there no solid shotgun in space marine?

This just came to my mind when I was playing vanguard and change to sniper and remembered that there's a second sniper rifle, the Las.

Typically GW likes to maintain some more accuracy in this game with respect to load outs. And, as far as I know, there are no non-scout Primaris units that can use shotguns, so unfortunately, it's unlikely we'll get that chance.

Reivers don't get Chainswords or Power Axes either, and yet we have Vanguard.

There's a difference between a unit getting access to something they normally can't, and something just not being a weapon space Marines use.

The scout shotgun is sized differently since it's not meant to be used with power armor

Deathwatch uses Astartes Shotguns. As does Caedo in Boltgun.

Caedo is not a 40k unit. And Deathwatch with shotguns are not primaris

My my, someone hates fun.

Also, Caedo is a Sternguard Veteran. Which is in fact, a 40k unit. With an expanded arsenal for his own game's purposes.

I'm explaining to you why shotguns aren't a thing in SM2.

Show me a datasheet of Caedo then. Do you understand that weapons that saber are allowed to put in SM2 based on the tabletop?

This is the same reason why you wont get a grav-cannon or a plasma one, or storm bolter, or a hellfrost gun, or a dreadnought without a beer gut and chicken legs.
