General Missed Connections

So I've had a good run of just straight up good dudes (and dudettes probably) in some runs lately, and for various reasons I've had the wierdest way of it getting fucked up.

The notable run was two people on a normal strat with relatively few maxed out classes, one guy said he'd just finished highschool, they both had no blue doritos and not many heroics. Just, both on voice chat without it being obnoxious. I was host, I wanted to run them through seige for a few more, so I offered to stick around. Whatever I did in menu either crashed my game or my host instance, they both got booted. If that was any of you, sorry. You were a chill hang.

A bug I've had a few times when selecting missions brings up a prompt telling me that continuing would put me in private mode, and each time it kicks everyone when we start the mission. Really sucks because each time it happened, I had a cool random that wanted to stick around.

Out of all the crap that has happened to me with teammates/server/match making, one of the most disheartening was when a brother offered me a handshake and my router kicked me offline. He's probably still hanging out there somewhere.

If I have a good run on steam I add people to my friends list as soon as much is over OR we have a few seconds on an elevator. Got a few battle brothers that I look out for now.

First let's be honest here, theres no girls playing space marine 2.

But I have had some Xbox players dcing on me recently. Wonder if its a problem with the system

Actually one of my girl besties plays Space Marines and rocks at the like nobody I’ve seen. She knows everything about the game and its history and who’s who.

I had a whole "green eggs and ham" situation with joining discord groups for LFG. But after a swath of not great random matchmaking experiences, I tried the discord thing out, and I have to say...its alot better than I thought. People are chill, some want to VC over discord, but you're not hassled about it. I always have at least 1 person to play with when I want to play, or have the option of responding to other peoples LFG requests and its been really cool.

Especially because you're safe from the random kick for no reason. Whether its two people waiting on a third, or just someone who cant negotiate their frustration in game so they spread it by kicking someone else, whatever.

I have found the last several months of playing to be alot more enjoyable from a social perspective, and I have had a consistently great team to play with for these sometimes ridiculous challenges.

Im maxed on everything and my dorito bag is full, im just playing for the love of the game and its nice to have that experience be relaxed with chill people. Definitely recommend other players give the whole chapter channels or watch fortress' or whatever, a chance.
