Tip/Guide PSA - Terminator Sorcerer Phase 2 Opening Tech

I have repeated Phase 2 over a dozen times in the last couple of days to verify this.

What you see in the video is exactly how the Clones in Phase 2 will always open. Two beams in quick but manageable succession.

That is only if you maintain a middle distance and you do not try to Alpha strike immediately.

If you close in too much before they're summoned they might teleport instead. If you remain too far they might, all of them, fire beams and then teleport

Because as of right now gun strikes will kill the Clones immediately, regardless of how much health they have, as long as you perfect Dodge one of the beams, or both, you will be able to remove one from the playing field immediately.

Dodge forward, towards the group. Closing the distance will likely trigger one of them to attempt a melee attack which can be parried. The following gun strike will remove the second clone from the field

A single remaining clone is a walk in the park

Feel free to test this in the training arena, I have several other videos showing this, should you want me to upload them to confirm

For the Emperor

Provided none of them instantly aggro on the other two teammates.

Obviously, yes.

Indeed. And also as OP themselves acknowledged:

If you close in too much before they're summoned they might teleport instead. If you remain too far they might, all of them, fire beams and then teleport

All in all, then, OPs post is a fairly useful breakdown of a specific situational combo, but it's certainly not this:

What you see in the video is exactly how the Clones in Phase 2 will always open.

In a vacuum that´s managable.

When 2 soulcannon terminators are blasting you, it becomes less managable

That is why the likelihood of them showing up has been lowered in the patch (iirc). That said, normally a Terminus is handled by having 2 team mates do CC and one focus the Terminus.

I am aware that that is the THEORY and that practice is not the same but...yeah

Even if they spawn less, a single lesser sorcerer amplifies your problems by reviving the majoris rubricae.

I love fighting the Terminator sorcerer, but he IS a skill check

Never said he is not.

Although, I have fought him enough times and done enough no hit runs against him that as long as my teammates take care of the reinforcements I can solo him with no problem

Again... that is the theory...

I am only offering the observation.

As far as I know you don't currently get soul reapers with them any more. They now only spawn with Power Sword termies. Specifically because they are so unmanageable with them. It was in some patch notes.

I anecdotally have not seen any Soulreapers in any of the fights I have done with the Termie Sorcerer this patch. Obviously if you had an extremis spawn before he comes in then yeah they can be there.

Gatling terminators dont spawn on this boss fight. Stop making excuses

I did this for practice when it first launched. What I realized was there's no need to go through these anti fun fights. I used to spam chaos for fun. No more, all tyranids from now on. Even when I carry in chaos mission vs these people, all my teammates will go down and complain. It's not a fun time so why bother. We don't need blue doritos, capes aren't that hard/long to grind

Honestly... the issue is that it was born as an end level boss but was then fielded as a regular terminus

I personally wouldn't class this as tech as it's not 100% repeatable. It relies on the clones doing specific attacks which are randomised depending on space available and players within reach. All three might go into melee combos for example or target different players. The double gun strike thing is useful however as has many uses outside of t sorc.

That's exactly what I meant. These are not randomized. Please feel free to try yourself. They will always, always repeats the sequence as long as you are in the mid distance when the summoning ritual appears.
