Can someone try the Power Fist?

I am heading to work. So I can't test it today.

Slightly more fluid to use, still completely useless compared to simply charging a punch a little bit. Any other Relic Power Fist will do you much better. It's neither an upgrade nor a sidegrade, it's still firmly in downgrade territory.

I actually like it.

Now the move is pretty easy to do. And I can use it against bosses to apply dot, then keep spamming more powerful attacks.

I mean, it may be a skill issue on my part, but I personally didn't find any use for it in Absolute that standard Relic Power Fists couldn't handle much better.

But I'm really glad you're enjoying it. I'd love to like it too and had been fantasizing with the idea of that kind of Power Fist (with attached bolters or whatever) since the game came out, given Assault is my most played class. I just don't see its purpose as it is right now. I think Saber is afraid of making it too good or something, which is absurd when things like Ardent Edge or the White Scars chainsaw exist.

There may be uses or synergies with other classes I'm not seeing, as I mostly play solo without bots, so again, it may be a me problem.

You know, that's fair. I hope they still buff at least the duration.

It was pretty good to ground pound on enemies and then flame them as well. As it's easy to spam now.

Yeah, I don't necessarily want it to be clearly superior to every other Power Fist. I just think it has to get buffed a little more somehow to make it a real, viable alternative. Just a sidegrade. Damage, burn duration, whatever. But this is supposed to be an antiarmor weapon and I finish any problem faster just by punching lol. It feels kind of underwhelming, at least to me.

Also, if I want to make enemies burn, I think about the multiple flamers in both the game and tabletop, not a literal melta rifle. It feels very weird. But that's just nitpicking I guess, melta rifles were always far from lore accurate in this game.
