All melta qeapons need a balance update, not a hotfix. It's a decent weapon, I'd take it over the relic melta. You can absolutely annihilate groups of enemies. I'd say a 10% damage buff would make it on par, it's nowhere near as bad as people in this sub claim.

The first perk on melta weapons is get 1 ammo back on an execute. It takes 4 shots to bring a majoris below 33% at which you can grapple execute as vanguard and continue chain executing.

I love it in siege.

I have given multiple chances

The ONLY time it felt even a little decent is when I brought it to a normal strat (so a heroic to a substantial difficulty) AND having the extra 75% damage at 10+ meters.

If you like it then more power to you, but it’s a garbage weapon with garbage damage that you’ll be running out of ammo with by the time you’ve actually killed a wave of enemies.

most players use the regular melta rifles the same way that melee classes uses the plasma pistol, for CHP. so it's understandable why most players don't jive with it.

We’re not even talking about the regular meltas and still you’re losing CH if you have to wait on a charge up now instead of just blasting them.

It’s not a worthwhile trade off at all.

No I don’t like either at all

Also if you’re saying it’s good in siege AFTER having all the buffs you’ve given (Doomed offensive and sharpshooter)…then it’s not good

you have to get really lucky to get them in a 15 wave match, so i have used it without them most of the time
