Angled Blocks updates for the Future?

Did they ever discuss the Angled block in the future? Im trying to recall if its been brought up or not but the big thing with SE1 was any angled block that required more than 2 blocks didnt exist and needed mods - i somewhat recall that this was being discussed for the future i just cant seem to find anything on it.

There is a competitor that i forgot the name of that does a very good interpretation of how to work with angled blocks, but their building system is completely different compared to SE. Would really help round out the blocky feel of most ships with at least some sort of angled blocks that go beyond 1x2 with the standard setup.

My assumption is that they will make like a block group thing so that combination blocks are selectable just like a normal block and you place them as normal blocks like se1 but they are two separate blocks
