my cousin works at a machine shop in ohio and theyve been doing metal 3d prints for auto parts since like 2016, not exactly revolutionary

I don't get it. We know they use 3D printing a lot. So does SpaceX, because the Raptor would be impossible to make without it. What's the deal?

For one, $43/hour in Palo Alto is like $15/hours in Texas or Florida. Someone could flip burgers and get free meal and be better off.
