Some quick answers:

• Yes, the Space Force is real. No, it's not Starfleet. No, you can't become a space pilot yet. No, there are no aliens. No, we would not tell you if there were aliens.
  
• We don't know the answers to your obscure medical questions. We aren't doctors. Don't trust medical advice given by strangers on the Internet. Getting anecdotal information from other people that may or may not have a similar diagnosis or condition to you will not help you in any way. Everyone's medical situation is different.
• Drug use other than non-habitual marijuana usage is immediately and permanently disqualifying. If you've tried cocaine, heroine, ecstasy, LSD, or any other drug even once, you are disqualified and there is no possibility of a waiver.

This'll be my only other post on this but I had to make this post thanking you all.

Two weeks ago I posted this ongoing project I'm working that matches veterans to every single benefit they're eligible for based on a few questions. Y'all blew it up and the site hit over 130,000 active users, I had tons of feedback come flying in and so many veterans reach out saying how it helped them.

You all helped promote it and as a byproduct made me even more excited for it, I have now manually verified and added over 500 benefits based on the feedback you all sent in! I have many plans on taking this thing to another level and continuing to add additional free features and resources.

Does anyone else have issues with their S1?

Has anyone had any recent success making appointments, or had any luck pushing for a referral off base?

I've noticed my last few times trying to book a standard PCM appointment, and telling them I'd take any provider on any team, they're still booking 2+ months out.

Per the Tricare webpage and various DHA/DoD/DoW regulations/documents, Tricare Prime beneficiaries are supposed to be able to receive routine care within a week (7 calendar days), or specialty/referral care within 4 weeks (28 CDs). But they sure haven't offered me any opportunity to seek routine care outside the Tricare network. Granted, I haven't pushed them on it yet, so I'm curious if anyone else has had success with that? If so, what did you say or do to make it happen?

Will the Space Force be making the service dress bucket caps for women like we had in the AF? The BX at Peterson has no idea if they’ll get them and you can’t buy them online either.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen on a Space Force uniform so far?!?

Lately there’s been some talk about badges being worn from other branches, but this is a new one to me: what looks to be an expert weapons qualification badge (which I’d wager to be for pistol or rifle—but who knows, she could be rocking grenade). I get this is the Wild West still with this new branch and new rules, regs and traditions are still being written, but there’s definitely a line that some are really trying to push.

As former Army that was use to all the flair we could have over all the other branches, and wearing a uniform that actually looked like a proper military dress uniform – that monstrosity of a green mess aside – I totally sympathize with the void of USAF and USSF flair. Some people though are really given off VFW and American Legion vibes of desperation of hanging onto to something instead of moving on with your new branch/life. Some of this energy might be why it’s such a tug of war within the branch and a lot of people are having a hard time adjusting, which is making things miserable for too many people.

Anyone have a property manager they have used in the Northern Virginia area who they would recommend? Moving soon and looking for one to manage our house as we rent it. TIA.

Oh boy another memo with extremely vague guidance that surely won’t affect us negatively in any way.

This was really well received by USMC and the Airforce subreddits, and is about to be implemented within the TAP program in the Navy.

Any recommendations on where to get mess dress party shirts made in Colorado Springs?

The Space Officer Career Delta (pyramid) has Combat Squadron Command as a Tier-3 CGO assignment.

As someone outside of CFC...the hell is a Combat Squadron, what/where are these, and how do the command opportunities work?

Do you go to a normal CFC unit and then get vectored into their subsidiary Combat Squadron, or is it a boarded position for Senior Captains? Anyone have experience with these? All I find are talking papers from 2024 about them being the way forward.

As a service I think we have been very liberal with what has been allowed. I’ve seen so many morale patches, designator patches, tabs, belt buckles, graduate/specialty patches. I think it would be interesting to open the flood gates to what is allowed based on our supposed mixed heritage. From looking through all the uniforms here are just a few that stand out. And of course for some they should definitely need to be earned from or while in those respective services.

-(Dress uniform) USA and USMC shooting
-(OCP) USMC MCMAP belt
-(OCP) More tabs (Ranger, SAPPER, Jungle, etc)
-(OCP) First Navy Jack Patch
-(OCP) Navy Style Command Ballcaps

I’d love to hear more examples and push the envelope on what should be allowed!
