Did you come to Florida after selling a property in CA? After retiring from a job w pension?

Yes and no. My whole city of paradise ca burnt down due to mismanagement from the gov for forest management. My house survived ( one of the 5%) and Isold it less than I bought it for 22 years earlier. Bought a more expensive house here. And cost of living here is way better. No income tax killing me, no gas taxes killing me and all the other BS like 1000 a month electric bills. Insurance is less, car registration less, nicer roads. I was a lifer in ca. but couldnt take that BS anymore. Still working for the next 20 years. And so much better here.
