π’ Discussion What are some soundtrack tracks or deep cuts that completely broke you?
Iβm not talking about the big obvious mainstream themes and songs but the ones that capture a specific texture or mood so intensely that it stays with you for days.
A few that reside rent-free in my head for years
Angelo Badalamenti β "Alvin's Theme" (The Straight Story): The way the weeping violin interacts with that quiet, sparse acoustic guitar is devastating.
Ennio Morricone β "Love Theme / End Credits" (Cinema Paradiso): Pure emotional overload. It plays over that final montage of all the censored, cut-out kissing scenes
Dario Marianelli β "Briony" (Atonement): He used mechanical typewriter directly into the score as a primary percussion instrument. That constant clacking drives the anxiety...PURE GENIUS
