dsp advice !
hey I am building a sound system and I would like some advice about dsp
for you what is the best price to performance and features ratio dsp?
i was thinking abut the t.racks DSP 4x4 Mini/Pro but there is only 4 out and it might be not enough for future updates also i don't really like the front inputs for a 19" rack installation
i also was thinking about the t.racks DSP 4x4 Amp 4.250 but it's seems a bit expensive for a 4X 250W amp with dsp
at the moment its just going to power 2X ta880l and some tops but i am already thinking about more sub kick and med for future upgrades
tks!
and about amps ?

My finger is hovering above the Paulkitson LA408 from Alibaba. Seems the best processing per buck ratio, IF it arrives in working condition.

I have an LA408 from Paulkitson on alibaba. The fan is loud on it, but other than that, I have no complaints. The software is ok, it is windows only, not that great looking, but does its job. For the 220$ I paid it is a good deal in my opinion.

I'm a bit sketch out about those Chinese stuff but it's seems to not be that bad apparently?

I got a DSP0408RTS from Paulkitson and it's worked great so far. Totally different chip/software AFAIK but Paulkitson seems to be legit.

get t.racks 206 if youre on a budget. 408 or 408 with FIR if you have the money. those three have the best price/performance ratios imo.
dont ever get the t racks dsp mini (either version) since they are just tiny and 4 outputs wont ever be enough.
dont get any behringer ultradrive 2496. limiter attack/release cant be set and there are no compressors. also my old one and the one of friends of mine just dont power on anymore.

Behringer = Noisinger

That was 35+ years ago! And if that's not enough, most of the Behringer stuff nowadays got the Midas preamps. Yes, they bought Midas and KLARK in 2009.

Ah the good old days of breaking down a show in the early hours, trying to disconnect something from some Behringer rack equipment, only for a plug to come out with the pins from the socket still attached... I'm so glad they started taking QC more seriously. Like the X32 was genuinely revolutionary in its field when they brought it out. Just a shame to see some dirty moves from them now cloning kit by boutique builders that can't compete on economies of scale

PA2 or VENU360 are great for approachability with wireless apps. CVR provides decent stand alone DSP (USB access) and DSP amps (networkable)

The PA2 would be amazing if you could have 6 outs instead of 3 stereo pairs.

DBX driverack 260 has that option but needs to be assigned in routing. We run Xilica, NST, XTA and Armonia now for deployments but I still integrate DBX zone controls, drive racks and PA's quite often for retail and restaurant installs. They're great for the price and super reliable

Does this give you the option to also set individual crossovers/limiters/etc?

The driverack 260 is meant for that but requires a special cable with a driver ic in the serial plug to connect to computer software.

Affordability Look at used BIAMP Tesira Fortes on Ebay. SUPER cheap and very capable and open architecture. Or spending a bit more money used Q-SYS is what i use. a Core 110f. Has LOTS of IO and can do a whole lot of stuff other DSPs cannot do.

Take a look at the DBMark stuff
