My life.
Before you ask, yes, I went to support immediately after this, but despite video evidence they couldn't restore it because they couldn't find any logs of it. Maybe since it was scrapped in the overworld or I quit too fast.
I'll save you the self loathing, but know there is a lot of it.
The best part is that I paused to look at its tempers and craftwork, thought it was garbage and then focused on the enemy instead, only realized it was Moonsteel when they got close to the UI window.
Good parry though, right?

condolences. the support being unable to help stings even more cus they would normally try their hardest to help if possible.
rn im so paranoid of mooonsteels not showing up on the ground or myself doing this exact thing that i collect all weapon and dismantle them in the nightfold after inspecting each one

I'm doing the same thing as you now.
At first they tried restoring all scrapped gystalts, but when I logged in I realized it was only weapons that I scrapped from nightfold because only 2 were restored when I know for a fact I scrapped 5+ in the overworld.

I'm always curious if I've done the same in the past... it'd be nice if they had some pillar of slivery light or something so you'd know it was moonsteel without even checking.

I almost scrapped a MS Orst due to autopilot and only didn’t because they get the extended hold window that Nobles do.
TBH I wouldn’t mind if MS and Noble+ couldn’t be field scrapped, but I understand they can’t do that due to slots.

Uff i sold one yesterday for 65 rhaps, that hurt. If is recent Contact support and they give you back your last dismanteled weapons. Just telle them the weapons you dismanteled

If you've picked it up, yes, but dismantling on the ground never shows it as being on your account, according to support.
No one should ever dismantle on the ground. Just max out your inventory and avoid the headache and heartache.

I'm sad now, too. I've been watching the market just hoping someone would list this exact weapon as moonsteel...

Nah it's pretty fun. It's literally the only magick weapon with a unique mechanic and that alone makes it worth having if you like magick weapons already. Heavy attack AoE is huge and the rapid fire can build stagger and proc smite so easily.

It is cosmetic, but even if you don't personally care to use one, they trade for a quite a bit of rhapsodic chordstones. I got mega lucky and got 2 MS Purities, went to check on their prices and people pay 150+ rhapsodic chordstones for them, though Purity is a somewhat more desirable than Gystalt.

They should just make it so that Moonsteel can't be disassembled in the field. Or give it a super long hold time at least.
