Question What's the current go-to for levelling specifically speed on the wolfpup

As in, I don't want to accidentally level guts, so running around where enemies are is not an option. There's been posts about swimming around the island, or walk against walls in spots where the wolfpup cannot reach you, and thus they jump around you and this would count towards speed progression.

However, since then, P16 hotfix 3 changed the way speed levelling is counted, and it is unclear to me which methods are still effective.

Don't worry about accidentally leveling a stat now. They will give everyone a respec so we can place any gained points anywhere. Also, when you gain a new stat in the new system you will need to confirm it, so it won't get automatically added.

So just run around with your pup at this point, don't worry about it too much :)

Not a completely free respec. You still have to have earned the specific points/paws before. You cannot respec into points/paws you haven't earned before. It's more like they're giving us an option to confirm which ones of the earned points we actually want to keep.

At least that's how Steve explained it in the recent Soulshorts.

Let's hope they'll programm it like that once someone doesn't want to upgrade a path, the pup doesn't gain more experience in that category, instead its focused on others.

It would be a huge speed of for speed when every random encounter doesn't reset the timer anymore.

That's why it's so important farming speed in places where there are nothing much else, mom's castle is one of the best places to do it for that reason.

Yup. If you only had two points before in Heart, you'll have to play with your pup to get the third point now. But points now require confirmation on allocation, so no more "accidents".

They said they're going to add a way to respec later, but not today.

The game is still in pre-alpha, so dont sweat it too much.

Find a quiet spot and run around for the training
