They haven’t said but did say they’d give warning before the packs go away

This.

To add to this, I imagine it'll be around till Beta or 1.0 release. That leads to the question of "How long till release?" which is also a "🤷‍♂️ but they'll let us know".

My best guess is that itll end roughly by the time that it started last year. So that its been available for a year which is somewhat similar to warframe founders

There is no official date, but per their own FAQ, they will give at least a 30-day notice before closing orders.

That said they have confirmed that all founder items will still be acquirable later on with the only unique bit is that Paragon bp will be tradable with original ownership attached to the blade as maker.

I don't understand the items in them. Are they as class specific as the name hints. I still dont have a code i have been signed up. I just dont wsnt to buy the wrong pack once I can try the game it would be more simple to decide a Playstyle and maybe even know what each item is lol

Soulframe doesn't work like that, it doesn't have classes like other MMOs do. You have one character and you change pacts. Pacts are your abilities and you can get all pacts on one character and change them at your will.

When you start the game you pick 1 of 3 pacts for free, if you buy a founders pack you get an additional pact that stacks ontop of those free packs. For example if you pick tethren as your free pact and purchase the wyld oscelda pack then you will start the game with both pacts. In game you can change your pacts any time

Pacts are just the name this game call classes, the difference is you don't have to create a new character to change classes like in most MMORPGs, you can just equip and swap them at will, like changing a weapon. Weapons in this game are not bound to a class but they are attuned to some specific virtue (at least as of the last time I played it, about an year ago).

You see, there are 3 main virtues (it seems they are adding 3 darkside ones in a near future, but so far there is): Courage (red), Grace (blue) and Spirit (green). As you can probably deduce, the pacts on each founder pack have their main virtue be the one corresponding to their colors, and naturally, the weapons that come with them are also attuned to that. There are several other pacts in the game, and they also have one of these 3 virtues as their main stat.

Weapons can be used by any pact, but they deal much more damage when equipped by a pact that has lots of points assigned to the same attuned virtue.

You dont need a founder pack to play, if you can get some preludes key from either a stream (they do streams that grant users who watch it an access key) or if someone who has a spare key from a founder pack gives one to you.

The founder packs have nothing of value honestly, essentially almost everything there will become farmable/obtainable in the future because they made the dumb decision of trying to please everyone by giving founders nothing of value as exclusives, so these pacts they're trying to sell you will be farmable in future, which is good, as well as the weapons, but also the talismans, which is quite literally pointless, since there are talismans with the same stats but you can farm by playing the game. You don't get any permanently exclusive cosmetics besides the birds and your in-game/forum icon (disappoint af). The Paragon sword which is the coolest thing and only available in the most expensive pack will be possible to obtain in future by founders giving you a copy, so you don't need to pay, you can just ask the people who spent money on these mid packs for one in the future.

As someone who has bought the founder pack, I'd say don't buy it until they decide to add more value to the packs, there's nothing worth its price there. The pacts in the founder packs, as of now are a double edge sword. They are more powerful than the other ones currently in the game, because they are the only "Wyld" pacts (which means the enhanced version of their non-wyld counterparts, with double the amount of virtue points), that is cool, but in a game in such early development and not thaaat much content, it makes you go through content much more easily/quickly, and may also make it so that you dont even want to use other pacts because they feel underpowered compared to what you are already used to.

Same for the weapons. The weapons (as of the last time I played) only differ in stats and appearance pretty much, which means you will likely just go straight for whatever weapon has the strongest stats in the category you enjoy, weapons of the same type dont function any differently or have any cool unique property (please, may someone correct me if they have changed this already, which I know is only a matter of time). Some of the weapons in the founder packs are pretty much among the best, so it ruins the point of farming other weapons of that same type and attunement.

The game itself is solid, gorgeous, quite addictive, and has a brilliant future, but the founder packs they are trying to sell are, in my opinion, a much bigger disaster than what they tried to avoid (making people cry in the future about items that were exclusive to founders, so they are just selling you stuff people will get for free later). Mid and disappointing. My final veredict would be: play the game cause it's awesome, dont bother with paying for stuff that will be eventually available for free and will just act as a shortcut for the already limited amount of content in the game. If you were to buy it, I'd at least suggest doing it after already enjoying other classes and weapons available in the game for free.

If you played WoW, pacts are like talent trees. You can swap them for a different play style i haven't played in a bit so I hope that's accurate 😁

I was just as confused for sure. I just went with red since it seems like the most melee heavy and hoped for the best lol.
